Their expert hospitality team and logistics crew joined a diverse group of personnel from the various global research programmes based in Antarctica on this 5.5-hour direct flight on board the purpose-selected IL-76 TD-90 aircraft.
Explorers can experience this purpose-driven travel with @ultimaantarctic alongside researchers and scientists.

The 2023 @nedbank @cape_winemakers_guild Auction programme kicked off in style with the Cape Town Showcase last night.
Cape Town’s wine lovers showed up in their droves to get a first taste of the exceptional wines selected to go up for auction this year. The day started with a VIP tasting followed by the Showcase and silent auction of previous years’ auction wines paired with AI generated artwork of each participating estate.

Our Chief Destineer, @mariettedth, was in La Rioja, Spain for a @unwto Think Tank on Wine Tourism.
The focus was on training and developing a future fit workforce, equipped to deliver exceptional experiences through wine tourism.
She shares her thoughts here on the possibility of a virtual university with a global exchange programme that could provide practical, in person learning experiences for people working in wine tourism that can equip them to host, communicate and understand the cultural differences between visitors from different parts of the world better. At the same time, it could help shape the career paths and open up global opportunities for many young people in a way that book knowledge never could.
