Zambia’s Immigration Department has confirmed that three border posts in Livingstone and Kazungula are expected to be computerised by June, ahead of the upcoming UNWTO General Assembly, according to an article by Zambia’s Daily Mail.

The computerisation of Victoria Falls, Katima Mulilo and Kazungula border posts is meant to ease the movement of travellers to and from Zambia, during, before and after the UNWTO general assembly.

Immigration Acting Public Relations Officer, Mubanda Chansa, said the department had since bought equipment needed for the project, which included 20 computers, 15 web cameras and fingerprint scanners.

She said the border posts would be linked to the headquarters in Lusaka, which would in turn expedite the verification and issuance of travel documents. She added that immigration officers at the three border controls would also be trained on how to use the computerised system.

The Leatherback Sea Turtle is the largest turtle in the world, weighing approximately 900kg. Contrary to appearance, the leatherback doesn't actually have a shell.

What looks like a shell is in fact a leathery skin supported by small bones. This gives it a flexibility that a solid shell would not provide, allowing it to dive to astonishing depths.

The Leatherback can be seen along the Southern African coast - contact us to find out where for an amazing holiday!
