Rwanda is known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills” thanks to it’s endless mountain ranges.

The reason most visitors travel to the country is, however, to see the Mountain Gorillas. Although gorilla trekking is regarded as a year-round activity, the best time to visit is during the short dry season from mid-December to early February, or over the long dry season months of June to September.

Nowhere are the mountains more majestic than the Virunga Volcanoes in the northwest, and, hidden among the bamboo forest, are some of the world’s last remaining Mountain Gorillas.

Nothing compares to a face-to-face encounter with a Silverback in the rainforest. A real life-changing experience!

Kenya encompasses savanna, lakes, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. With its diverse geography, Kenya is considered a year-round destination for both exceptional game viewing and spectacular scenery.
The best time to visit Kenya is during the dry seasons, from January to March and July through October. The migration usually arrives in the Masai Mara from the Serengeti in August and remains until late October.
Other popular game reserves include Amboseli, Chyulu Hills, Tsavo East and West, Laikipia, Samburu and Lake Nakuru.
Today there are around 42 different tribes in Kenya, with varying cultural identities and traditions. The best known are the Maasai due to their proximity to the wildlife reserves and their colourful clothing and beadwork. The Samburu of north-central Kenya are pastoralists who live a nomadic way of life. The Kikuyu, Kenya's largest tribe, were traditionally farmers, but today many live in urban environments.
