Day 1:

Depart from Mossel Bay to Clarens. We enjoy a lovely overnight stay at Peppetree Guesthouse at Bloemfontein

Day 2:

After a delicious breakfast, we will depart to Clarens, We enjoy a lovely four night's stay at the 4-star Clarens Retreat in Clarens. Clarens is a small town situated in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in the Free State province of South Africa and nicknamed the "jewel of the Eastern Free State"

Day 3:

After breakfast we are going to have an experience at the Cherry Farm with some liquer tasting, cherry picking and a light lunch. Visit the Ionia Cherry Farm. We will enjoy dinner in the form of a braai at Clarens Golf Club.

Day 4:

Enjoy a delicious breakfast before we take a trip to Cheetau Lodge. It is home to a variety of wild cats. We enjoy a lovely lunch at Cheetau Lodge. We travel to the historic small town of Fouriesburg and visit interesting sites. We visit Baris Monger farm for some cheese and wine tasting. The farm is a third generation owned and managed farm

Day 5;

One of the highlights of this tour is a trip to ghe Heritage Trust Farm of Sandstone Estate. We will take a tour of the military and tractor museum - this will take us back time! Some of these tractors participated in events recorded in the Guinness World Book of Records. We head back to Clarens for a light lunch and after we go and explore Golden Gate.

Day 6:

After a delicious breakfast, we will travel back to Mossel Bay and overnight half way.

Day 7:

After a delicious breakfast, we will return to Mossel Bay.

SOUTH AFRICA - 7 DAY GARDEN ROUTE TOUR

Day 1: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn

Depart Cape Town at 6 am and head up to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo semi desert area, which also is the ostrich capital of the world. This drive follows the world-famous Route 62 which is the longest wine route in the world! This will be a scenic drive, winding your way through mountain passes where lazy baboons line the roadside through fertile micro-climate. With rows and rows of grapevines and rolling farmyards. Wine lovers will be in their element with a Wine Tasting pitstop. Complete the day with a journey through the landscape of rugged plains and towering cliffs to reach Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich capital of the world, situated in the semi-desert Klein Karoo. Those seeking a closing encounter with Mother Nature can join rangers on an optional Elephant Bush Walk at the Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve. You will spend the evening here in leisure in countryside town Oudtshoorn. You can taste local delights such as Ostrich Kebabs or steak and experience a South African Barbecue evening around a cracking fire. Overnight in Oudtshoorn at a 4 star Game Reserve.

Day 2: Oudtshoorn

After a delicious breakfast, we will head to Highgate Ostrich Farm where you will get a glimpse into the farming industry, allowing you to observe the world’s biggest bird beak-to-beak and test the toughness of the shells and feeding them. Head to the magical Cango Caves limestone chambers, alive with drip formation stalactites & stalagmites and remnants of Khoi Paintings. An easy-going Heritage guided tour to test the cave’s acoustics and gain insights your guide provides into the formation and dripstone evolution. By contrast, the Adventure Tour (if available) allows would be contortionists to squeeze, twist and wiggle their way through limestone chimneys on a rather more adventurous underground route. Overnight at Oudtshoorn at a 4 star Game Reserve

Day 3: Mossel Bay

Our first stop is at Maritime Museum in Mossel Bay. A replica of Barthlomeu Dias’ Caraval is on display together with all aspects of the maritime history of the early Portugese, Dutch & English navigators. We will enjoy lunch at Cape St Blaize Lighthouse complex, build in 1864. This lighthouse offers a climb to the top of the tower for a panoramic and breathtaking view of beautiful Mossel Bay. We will do the biggest Sandboard ride of 180 m in South Africa and overnight in Mossel Bay 4 star accommodation

Day 4: Knysna & Tsitsikamma

After a delicious breakfast we will head to Knysna via Wilderness. Wilderness is renowned for its vast stretches of beach, it’s peace of tranquility. We will experience the Featherbed on a Lagoon Cruise to the famous Knysna Heads. Knysna nestles on the banks of a breathtaking pretty lagoon, a potential marine reserve that is home of over 200 species of fish. We will visit the Stormsriver National Park for a scenic hike of 5 km Suspension bridge. This is the Garden of the Garden Route. Overnight 4 star accommodation

Day 5 : Plettenberg Bay

Today is the highlight of the tour. KAYAKING. Definitely for your Bucket List! There is nothing like the sound of nature and the kayak hitting the water. Take in the splendour of nature and paddle out. Kayaking is an effective stress reliever. Paddle Plett offers daily excursions on the calm Keurbooms Lagoon. Pick from 1 hour to 6 hours daily trips. A kayak bring you close to nature and a variety of marine life. A great opportunity to enjoy Plettenberg Bay the way it should be. Rest assured that the kayaks are super-stable and sea-worthy, so manageable by all. It is suitable for all ages, from 10 to 100 years. Overnight in Plettenberg Bay

Day 6: Plettenberg Bay

Today we head through to Monkeyland, Tenikwa Wild Cats & Birds of Eden , the largest single-dome free flight aviary in the world, spanning 2.3 hectares of natural forests, streams and dams. Overnight Plettenberg Bay

Day 7:

We start the day with an early morning scrumptious breakfast! We make our way back to George Airport (100 km) for you to fly to your next destination. Alternatively drive 500 km back to Cape Town

Brace yourself for an inspiring journey through the enchanting fields of Namaqualand, where a sea of radiant flowers unfolds before your eyes. Captivating both the heart & the soul, this tour is truly a bucket list experience for nature enthusiasts and adventures alike. Immerse yourself in the sheer beauty and tranquility of this flower wonderland, as delicate petals dance in the gentle breeze. Every step you take reveals a new palette of hues, creating a kaleidoscope of nature’s artistry. The blossoms grace the land for a limited time only (end of July until September). It is the most breathtaking display of wildflowers in the Southern Hemisphere with 3 500 different flower species makes South Africa the bulb capital of the world!

Day 1

Depart from Mossel Bay and Cape Town Airport. Enjoy Waterblommetjie potjie at Kardoesie Farm Stall on top of Piekenierskloof mountain pass. We will enter the Cederberg and Clanwilliam the land of Rooibos Tea and view flowers at Ramskop Nature Reserve. We will enjoy a traditional South African Barbecue at a farm in Vanrhynsdorp.

Day 2

We will depart early morning to the 90 m Nieuwoudtville Waterfall via Van Rhyns Pass. We will travel to Gannabos Farm with the world’s largest Quiver Tree Forest, followed by Matjiesfontein, Kokerboom Nursery. We will enjoy a sundowner at a fireplace overlooking the ocean. Overnight in Velddrif

Day 3

We will taste the best quality cheese at a factory in the West Coast. We will travel today to Paternoster to meet the local people in their little town and have lunch at Voorstrandt Restaurant with a spectacular seaview. We will spend the afternoon at Columbine Nature Reserve at Tietiesbaai and overnight at Velddrif

Day 4

The highlight of the tour is to visit the West Coast National Park and Postberg Nature Reserve with carpets of flowers as well as wild life eg Kudus, zebras, ostriches, tortoises and lots of birds. Overnight Langebaan

Day 5

After a delicious breakfast we will drive back to Cape Town International Airport and Mossel Bay
