Join our journey this week as we explore the Cape Winelands, South Africa.

Day 1 today, enroute between Paarl and Worcester, lie the majestic Du Toitskloof Mountains, named after Francois Du Toit, a 17th-century Huguenot refugee who settled in the foothills. Du Toits Peak is the highest peak in the Western Cape within direct sight of the ocean, at 1,995 metres (6,545 ft).

The rugged mountains, extreme kloofs and deep valleys are covered in Fynbos. There are several hiking trails to choose from, as well as biking and fly-fishing options.
