What a beautiful recent leopard sighting! Ranger Kyle tells us all about it:

"We were having sundowners in a beautiful fever tree forest. As the sun began to disappear, we packed up and headed back towards the lodge. Moving through the fever trees, coming around the corner, there he was! This beautiful male leopard was just sitting there in the open, for us all to enjoy. We have been viewing this male frequently and he has become accustomed to the vehicle presence. We sat with this male for approximately 30minutes and managed to get some beautiful photographs. The added bonus was that it was the first time our guests on the vehicle had ever seen a leopard. Truly special sighting"

Our beautiful male Elephant BFE is 61 years old but doesn’t look a day over 21. BFE has his pick of quite a few females on the reserve and it is no surprise that he is the father to many of the ellies here at Nambiti Hills. The females are sometimes not ready to mate and the run away, this makes BFE extremely frustrated and Joe, one of our experienced Game Rangers, knows that he must keep his distance. Keep a look out for BFE when you next visit us, he is the bull with one broken tusk.
