😝🍷🌺Mystery Tour 😝 headed to Stellies (Stellenbosch) to see another breathtaking Vineyard on Helshoogte in the Banghoek Valley. Called “RAINBOWS END”A Top quality boutique family vineyard. That was bought in 1978 by Jacques Malan an Engineer from Johannesburg. It was a fruit & flower farm initially & his sons begged dad for a vineyard so eventually they added vineyards in 2000 & produced the First bottle in 2002.Rainbows End, the emblem says “Deus arx mea” meaning “God is with us”. It sure felt like that sitting there was simply glorious, 540m above sea level, with 22ha of vineyard. Rainbows End is supported by the SA Terroir awards & SA wine of the month. Their Cab Franc was voted best in SA. My passion is to make sure every guest that’s on my tour sees & experiences the true essence & beauty of our country with the very sights & sounds they would enjoy, offered in a bespoke daily package! If you have ever walked around the gardens of Hohenort Cellars, Alphen hotel & the green belt, or the Mount Nelson hotel, (all in Cape Town) my trip out to Somerset West where we visited; Morgenster, Lourensford, & Vergelegen. Reminded me of that. But so much more, bigger & grandeur gardens of utter beauty, left me completely breathless on how many beautiful plants can flower like that 😱🌺🌺 foxgloves 😱wow. Each farm offers a different experience, Lourensford offer a variety of shops, markets, restaurants. While Morgenster has an olive oil tasting experience. Vergelegen is rich with history dates back to 1700 granted to Willen A Van Der Stel. He built the Estste that reflected the renaissance influence of wealthy palaces in Europe. Old Cape Dutch houses, ornate Rose gardens, reflection pools, & its radiating avenues of endless beauty ! I can’t wait to go back to have tea & scones in the Rose Terrace & wine & lunch at the Stables restaurant overlooking the mountain range. Kevin & I where so impressed with the magnificent Erinvale Estate, the well maintained roads & pristinely magnificent verge plants everywhere. It’s simply gorgeous & pretty. Nothing better than stoping at the big strawberry shop Zetlers buying “padkos” (road food) for the journey home like fresh sweet strawberries 🍓 enjoy some photography of our day 🤩🌺🌺🌺🌺🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

THE WESTCOAST MEANDER“Come as my guest, leave as my lifelong friend” Is my new slogan. The world is truly full of the most amazing people! Of whom Iam getting to meet. 🥰As I put my feet up this evening, Iam reflecting on the day, And WOWNESS 🤩 full of rich experiences—both peaceful & exhilarating—leaving one feeling fulfilled & inspired. I collected a lovely couple from USA, 🙌🏻We headed along the N1 to Malmesbury. A little town called Philadelphia, built around a Dutch reformed church in 1863. Then on to Hopefield my favorite town, absorbing the history and antiques from old phones to creativity like the “braai broek” shorts. looking through many vibrant old shops with character & charm . My guests truly getting their Taste buds whirling in SA foods of local flavors from cheeses at the markets & even a “Roosterkoek” (fire grilled bread roll).We stopped at a cozy house where you enjoy freshly baked pastries and a cup of perfectly brewed coffee. On to my ultimate best farmstall “ Did Plasmol” it’s a feast for the eyes! They have added Zebras in their backyard 🤩 we were in time for feeding time. The miniature steam train 🚂 was running on the tracks. Before heading back to the hotel, the afternoon concluded with a drive through West Coast Nature Reserve, & Blouberg with the magnificent view of Table Mountain, simply leaving you with a deep sense of awe & wonder.
