To all who attended our Spring on Safari Promotion held at the Courtyard Hotel in Pretoria last week.

Our auction was a lively event and through the generosity of all those who bid on the Auction prizes we managed to raise the sum total of R84 000 - proceeds of which have been donated to Working with Wildlife Conservation initiative in the Kalahari Desert

Green Rhino, together with Court Classique Boutique Hotel in Pretoria, hosted a charity fundraiser early in June. We raised a total sum of R70 000 all of which went to The Justice Desk, Africa.

Our thanks to those who bid so generously on the prizes and also bought lucky draw tickets.

Thanks too to the African Travel Industry for donating all the wonderful prizes without which none of this would have been possible

End of May 2024 saw the official opening of the new Green Rhino Pretoria office. Cocktails, snacks and a lively spot prize draw were enjoyed by all who attended. Splendid wines were supplied by the Black Diamond team who also provided some delicious wines to taste.

Last week's Mozambique Fam trip had us travelling to Maputo then up to Vilanculos to sample some of the beautiful hotels in that area.
The City Lodge Maputo proved to be a great stop over to the islands. Best burgers in Africa!

On to the beautiful Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel, Vilanculos. “Where your soul meets magic” and then a night of splendour at Santorini – another piece of paradise. Like a small Greek Village in the heart of a raw African landscape.

We will be setting up fly in packages to all of these destinations now that visa restrictions on foreign passports have been lifted…….watch this space

Great golf day last Sunday with members of the Friendly Diplomatic Golf Association playing at the Pretoria Country Club.

Great turnout of 28 players which tournament was won by the Ambassador to the European Union. Accepting the beautiful Green Rhino floating trophy is his spouse Mpho. A fun day was had by all.

The launch of the brand new Green Rhino Diplomats Travel Guide and Charity Fund Raiser was an overwhelming success.

The venue for this function was the beautiful Official Residence of the British High Commissioner Antony Phillipson and his wife Julie.

Through the auction and together with ticket sales we raised a total of R88 000 - R44 000 for each of the 2 charities we supported on the evening.

The two beneficiaries, Green Trax K9 anti poaching dog unit and The Justice Desk Mbokodo Project were both thrilled to receive their payments. THANKS to all who gave so generously

Yesterday we said farewell to our group of 24 Americans from the Troy University in Alabama, USA. They enjoyed a 10 day tour put together by Green Rhino to include Johannesburg, Soweto, Apartheid Museum and Constitution Hill.

The highlight of their trip was a two night stay at Kapama Game Reserve where they encountered the Big Five in the first hour of their game drive.

On to Cape Town, Winelands, Cape Peninsular, Waterfront and Victor Verster Prison where we took this pic.. Thanks to Roots Africa Tours for taking care of them in the Western Cape.

Green Rhino has been hosting these groups for many years with another group coming out later this year.
