"Teaching in Thailand has been an incredible journey. After 4 years, Thailand has become my second home. The plan was to teach for a year and then move on, but I fell in love with the culture, beautiful surroundings, and the relaxed way of life. Moving abroad does have its challenges, but moving to Thailand was easy. With endless job opportunities, cheap living expenses, and amazing people around you, it is easy to see why. Teaching in Thailand has been a very rewarding experience. Being able to watch the students progress and shaping their young minds have been very fulfilling. The children are very lovable and are excited to learn from you. Thailand is a beautiful country that will forever be a part of who I am".

Where do we start?! Thai food is AWESOME. There is NOTHING better than sitting at a street stall with your closest pals, eating something that looks confusing but tastes awesome, with motorbikes zooming by. Our advice – if it looks questionable – try it anyway because chances are that you will love it!

Expect to go on an incredible journey of self-discovery and make an amazing difference in the lives of Thai children. Expect to possibly be placed in rural towns where you may be the only foreigner who speaks English, or to be placed in big Thai cities. Be prepared for a simple life that teaches you many life lessons, expect to experience kindness from the Thai people in your town and most importantly, expect to smile every single day.

Teachers are extremely respected in Thai culture, teachers are associated with being authoritative and knowledgeable.

It is very important for the Thai children to learn English and the elders are very impressed when their children or grandchildren can speak English. The level of high regard is highlighted in these three areas: locals’ consideration of the significance of English, their desire to flaunt their tradition and the value of mutual respect.

Every year there is an annual Wat Kru ceremony in Thai schools whereby the students pay respect to their teachers by presenting them with flowers and going down onto the floor to do a krab, which is the most respectful way to show respect. The students hope to gain merit and good fortune for the coming year.

Teaching in Thailand taught me many things, most importantly what should be valued most.
The land of the smiles is a place that is easy to embrace their culture and way of life.
From their incredible food to the remote jungles and let's not forget the super friendly locals, it's definitely the place to see.
Teaching the kiddos was super rewarding seeing how they progress over the months.
From the teaching staff to the kids, everyone accepts you with arms wide open.
