On 1 Feb 2025, Matt Murray and Charles Raw will embark on a 1,222km journey from Port Alfred to Cape Town, hoping to raise R2.35M for Velakukhanya Primary School in KwaZulu-Natal. The goal is to provide over 400 learners with a brighter future through improved infrastructure, much-needed renovations, and new classrooms.
"Almost a marathon a day for 35 days," says Matt, "all for a better learning environment."

What starts off as a slow morning, quickly becomes on of the fastest. After taking some time to admire a large herd of buffalo, Barden trusts his instincts and decides to take Harri to investigate some movement in the distance. Turns out its a cheetah and her 3 cubs, looking rather hungry.

Care of the Wildlife includes the company embarking on a variety of pioneering conservation initiatives, both in Africa and beyond. Rhinos Without Borders was created due to the alarming rate that Rhinos are being poached throughout Africa. With a Rhino killed every seven hours, more of these African icons are now being lost to poachers every year than are being born. Rhinos Without Borders aims to translocate rhinos to safe and secure areas in order to try and preserve this African icon for future generations. There have been successful translocations and there continues to be.
Care of the People is linked to the creation of Africa Foundation. Africa Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation with its own board of trustees. It receives support and funding from Africa Foundation (USA) and Africa Foundation (UK), as well as andBeyond , andBeyond ’s guests and independent donors. Their involvement mas made many things possible for communities, including providing boreholes to schools where there wasn’t access to one, providing bursaries, building and furnishing classrooms, erecting fences as schools in order to help provide a safer environment, and many other projects.
