Thanks to all who expressed concern about Dineo's impact on Luvuvuhu. As of this morning, we're still standing - no damage overnight with only about 75mm of rain. We remain hopeful but on flood watch. Oh the joys of life on a tropical floodplain!

- DoctorAdvice4u is monitoring a developing low off the northeast coast of Mozambique, near Island, and southwest of & Islands. This low is tracking into the Mozambique Channel, where conditions appear favorable for development early to mid week next week.

DoctorAdvice4u is projecting a possible TROPICAL STORM or TROPICAL CYCLONE, to be named , to form Feb 14/15, 2017, with gradual intensification as this system heads for a possible landfall along Mozambique's southeast coastline (see red box on map).

- All people in Mozambique and Swaziland should monitor a possible developing TROPICAL CYCLONE, February 13-20, 2017, and be ready to make preparations, including possible evacuations, if needed, for a cyclone LANDFALL next week, Feb 15-18, 2017.

We have two unique experiences coming up. From 9 to 13 September, I'll be joining a 4-night trail led by my great friend, the inspirational Jan van Zyl from Stellenbosch. A month later, from 9-12 October, we'll be repeating our annual trans-Limpopo walk when we cross the border on foot to visit the remote Sengwe corridor for a Shangane cultural festival.
