Formed in 2000 , Plan-It Design specialises in retail, exhibition, corporate and hospitality design, interior spaces and project management. The company is managed by brother and sister team Toby and Robyn, and has two small offices, one in Cape Town, the other in Johannesburg. This gives us flexibility in servicing our clients around the country and has enabled us to assemble a group of preferred

suppliers and contractors based in both centres, which has also allowed us to trim travel and disbursement costs.

**Job Opportunity: Senior Interior Designer (4-Month Contract)**

Plan-IT Design, a leading design firm in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team for a 4-month contract period. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Revit, 3D modeling, and technical detailing, with substantial experience in workplace design. Proficiency in creating design presentations and familiarity with software such as InDesign is a plus.

**Position Details:**
- **Start Date:** Immediate
- **End Date:** 1st November (with an option to renew)
- **Location:** Cape Town Office

2023 Recap
It’s been a whirlwind of a year. Our projects and R&D have taken us all over the place: Harare, Cairo, Kampala, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Prieska plus the many many beautiful other cities all across Southern Africa

Thanks to the amazing Plan-IT Design Team with their tremendous talent and dedication. Long long hours spent working day, nights and many weekends to get us through the year.

On site in Harare Zimbabwe: Afreximbank’s second African Trade Centre - not far behind the first one which is in Abuja Nigeria. It’s great to see the last few years of work breaking ground and to appreciate the scale and complexity of this project. Plan-IT was commissioned to design the Global Interior Design Standards for the Trade Centre, conference facilities and workspace interiors while .design was commissioned to design the global interior design concept for the hotel for the Onomo brand.

We got to climb the 35 meter crane and have a birds eye view of the site while gathering photos in order to produce a 3D animated video fly through of the project due for completion in February 2025

Yesterday we submitted our end of work stage 4 documentation: over 250 sheets of drawings comprising of internal layouts, specifications and details. Well done to Plan-IT Design team member Marc Lemaire for being an integral part in this process.

Just completed another renovation and upgrade of a hospitality suit at the Cape Town Stadium. Just in time for tomorrow’s big game.
We merged two suites into one large space, added folding stacking doors looking out into the stadium. We re did the floors and built two large service bar areas.
We finished off the space by adding a vibrant floral wall paper, herringbone black tiled wall and large feature shaped linear lights with colour changing LED.

Designing the wing for a project for Alpha Industries: . Design is a process from creating an authentic looking part, selecting materials, colours and then giving it that old aviation look by scrubbing down the aluminum, cutting it up and adding the final paint technique to the outer casing. We are looking forward to the opening of the store next week. This project was initially designed by us just before the Covid lockdown. The project was paused for some time and we are so excited to finally be able to see our design turn into reality after over 3 years. 🇿🇦 who supported us in the retail fixtures and fittings for the store
