Farmer Research Film Fetsival
Save the date!
On October 11 and 12, 2021, the Collaborative Crop Research Program (CCRP) with the McKnight Foundation will host a Farmer Research Film Festival. The films will be screened on YouTube Live Stream at 8 a.m. Central Time.
“These are not glossy promotional films, but rather a celebration of the power of low-tech filmmaking skills in the hands of real people telling their own stories from the field: progressive, authentic, and deeply rooted to the contexts in which they were created. This festival, and the process that preceded it, reflects an aspiration for a global exchange of ideas between those working at the frontiers of agroecological transitions—the science, the practice, and the social movement”.
The festival will commence on Monday 11 October with 3 outstanding films:
- The Threads That Connect Us: Social Relationships & Advocacy Across FRNs
- An Ecological Transition: Innovations In Pest & Disease Management
- Strength in Numbers: Promoting Agrobiodiversity
While the following 2 films will close out the festival on Day 2:
- Brown Matter: Rebuilding The Soils Which Sustain Us
- Farm To Fork: Off-Farm Investigations Into Nutrition & Food Security
