FynbosLIFE Fair Spotlight: Speaker Caitlin Greta von Witt - FynbosLIFE/ fynbos restoration

Sunday 9 October | 10am-4pm | Zandvlei Lookout | 57 Promenade Rd, Muizenberg

To those in the fynbos know, our very own Caitlin needs no introduction, however for the benefit of those who are going to soon find out, Dr von Witt is an exceptional scientist and human being. Botanical Ecologist at FynbosLIFE NPC, Caitlin wears many hats and her multifaceted role as Managing Director of FynbosLIFE requires her dedication, calmness and wit.

Caitlin has a PhD in Botany (plant-animal interactions) her doctorate investigated the role of pollinators in floral colour divergence of Drosera cistiflora (the snotrosie!).
The pull of natural science led her to botany, pollination ecology, horticulture, and wildlife habitat restoration. Caitlin has worked at SANBI, WESSA and Iziko Museums, and dabbled in insights analysis, french translation, art, writing, design, marketing and communications.

Come and enjoy Caitlin’s talk about FynbosLIFE and fynbos restoration and connect with her passion for fynbos.
