"Near the edge of the Schaap River Canyon we stopped for a road side coffee before starting the five kilometer decent. It was on the descent that I learnt a valuable bike packing lesson: longer travel bikes and big saddle bags don't always work well together. But a loop and tension applied by a Holdfast strap cured the problem of the wheel rubbing on the bag, and made me evaluate every time I got on my bike for the rest of the trip, the distance between wheel and bag.
