GREECE / SPAIN / ITALY: Uber boat services launched
Uber has announced new boat services for transfers and sightseeing options at popular areas in Spain, Italy, and Greece, according to Yahoo! Finance.

Uber Yacht will be available in Ibiza from August, with bookings open from July 26. In Venice, a limo boat service will allow customers to travel around the lagoon from this month.

In Greece, Uber Boat will expand its services from Mykonos to Athens, Corfu and Santorini and will let visitors travel to beach clubs and other remote destinations.

ITALY: Strikes at airports
Airport workers will strike at airports across Italy on July 5, according to Crisis 24.

At Bologna and Rome Fiumicino airports, ground staff will strike from 13h00-17h00.

Baggage handling staff will strike at Milan’s Linate and Malpensa airports during this time and security and ground handling staff will strike at Venice Airport.

At Crotone, Lamazia Terme, and Reggio Calabria airports, ground transport and airport operations staff will strike from 00h01-23h59.

SOUTH AFRICA: Mpox screening introduced
Travellers to South Africa will now be screened for monkeypox at all ports of entry in response to 13 cases reported in the country, reports Travel News.

The screening process starts when the captain of the aircraft and crew members provide a general declaration of health, stating that no travellers are ill on board.

Travellers will then undergo thermal screening and if they have a high temperature, they will be isolated and assisted with further screening. The Port Health Officer will also conduct a general observation of the affected traveller.

UNITED KINGDOM: Possible delays at Heathrow
Delays are possible at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 due to technical issues with British Airways’ allocation system last night (June 25), reports Daily Express.

The issue resulted in baggage delays where some flights departed without baggage and travellers waited in queues for lost baggage. As a result, some flights were cancelled or delayed.

Today's (June 26) schedules are expected to run normally, but passengers have been advised to confirm their flights with British Airways beforehand.

The airport may still be busier than usual as travellers retrieve their lost luggage.
