Agent Travel - Northern Namibian Adventure Part 1

Our Northern Namibian adventure started with a 9-hour drive from Windhoek, up north to the .

The lodge stands on the banks of the Okavanga River overlooking the Buffalo National Park and consists of 2 private "River Suites," 10 Luxury Safari Tents, 2 freestanding houses and a campsite.
It is a short drive from the Bwabwata National Park, in the Mahango Core Area, which is home to some incredible birdlife and 4 of the Big 5.

Be prepared with this handy pre-flight checklist:

Don’t forget to have your documents in order. You’ll need the correct visa – either a pre-applied visa or a Visa On Arrival. You’ll also need at least 6 months of validity left on your passport, and you’ll need proof of a booked flight leaving Indonesia before your visa’s end date. Plus, valid travel insurance – don’t forget that.

To save you some time at the airport, fill in the online Customs Declaration Form before you land. Only one declaration is required per family and you can complete the form up to 2 days before your flight. You’ll then be issued a QR code which you can show to the customs officer after baggage claim.

My slice of paradise for the weekend...

Yesterday, we got to experience a magical sighting of 2 young Elephant bulls swimming across the river on our evening cruise.
A ride on the river boat, "Lady Livingstone", is something I'd definitely recommend to clients visiting the lodge, as getting to sit on a "floating restaurant" whilst game viewing along the river is an experience not to be missed.
We saw a fair share of animals and birds whilst enjoying our complimentary drinks & snacks, which were served on all 3 decks. The friendly, efficient waiters as well as the experienced and informative deck crew made sure we didn't miss a thing!!!

This morning I leave for a couple of days in Mauritius to revisit some of their premium resorts.
