The Airport Hopper- Cape Town brings good news for travellers travelling from London- Gatwick to Cape Town.

NORSE, the airline will be adjusting its flight schedule along this route, increasing frequency from three weekly flights to four from 1 April until 27 April 2025.
Norse’s second season in Cape Town, from October to November 2025, will then see the schedule return to three flights a week, before it kicks off four weekly flights again from December 2025 until April 2026.
Flight schedule:
The schedule from 1 April will be as follows:
On Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Norse Atlantic departs Cape Town at 11:00 and arrives at London Gatwick at 21:40. Norse Atlantic Airways Z0796
Then on Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the flight departs London Gatwick at 20:00 and arrives in Cape Town at 08:30 the following day. Norse Atlantic Airways Z0795: London to Cape Town.

British Airways and Airlink have expanded their codeshare agreement to include Airlink’s Botswana destinations.

Virgin Atlantic starts its popular seasonal flights to Cape Town, which typically operate from October to March, will now run until 30 April 2025.
VS478 operating as a night flight departing Heathrow at 7:15pm and arriving in Cape Town at 7:50am.
VS479 will depart at 10am and arrive at London Heathrow later that day at 7:55pm.

CemAir has extended the suspension of its flights to Plettenberg Bay Airport until April 10 next year. The decision follows Plettenberg Bay Airport’s update on its runway refurbishments, published on October 8.
“It is hoped that the Airport will have regained the required certification for Category 5 flights by April 2025,” the airline said.
The airline plans to introduce flights between Cape Town and Plettenberg Bay during peak periods for Cape Town-based travellers. These passengers will also receive notifications with revised travel information.

Passengers whose flights cannot be rebooked due to the unavailability of an alternative service will receive a credit for the value of their fare, Cemair said.
