Good Night is a child and baby sleep consultancy that specialises in helping families sleep BETTER! With our bespoke, responsible support options we strive to find a solution to fit your family set up, family values and parenting style. We specialise in all things sleep when it comes to babies and children up to age 13. This includes help for expectant parents, parents of newborns, as well as todd

lers and even school-ready children. We teach parents how to help their children sleep better, through responsible, comprehensive offering taking into consideration all the building block of sleep. We provide virtual consultations, various additional support options, workshops, seminars and we also sell sleep-related products. By providing parents with a personalized sleep plan we believe all children can have the gift of a Good Night’s sleep in a responsible manner. Our trained sleep consultants are one of a kind in Southern Africa because they are professional and undergo a strict screening and education process. Through our continuous training, partner network and team set up, we ensure tried and tested methods, accountability and transparency! PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT offer one size fits all sleep training services! We are trained on the basics of neuroscience, nutrition, breastfeeding, stimulation, behavioural therapy, psychology etc. and the ways this relates to sleep for infants and toddlers. Our methods and support are based on years of experience and are tried and tested. Good Night is a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants, adding in our strive to remain responsible and accountable. We believe in empowering parents with knowledge and support!

Very often a lot of emphasis is placed on 'sleep training' or getting your baby to sleep through and not drink any milk at night etc.

👉 this can be a difficult change to make and thus gets highlighted during the support process.

❤ BUT if all the other Building blocks are not in place properly it could lead to failure when attempting to do sleep training, causing unnecessary crying or prolonged crying.

Putting the light off, yes is much easier BUT it's impact should NOT be underestimated.

⭐Sleep associations are anything (even an action) we use to help us get to sleep: a pillow, a blanket, even your partner is a sleep association.

⭐Those things we choose to help us sleep better.

⭐Sustainable sleep associations are items babies can use independently without having someone else provide it to them (e.g. a taglet/lovey).

👉It should never be attempted without first considering the other building blocks of good quality sleep, that would be irresponsible.

👉You can only create sustainable sleep associations once all the other building blocks of sleep are in place.

👉Just because the other building blocks are easier to achieve, does not make them less important.

👉In fact, getting the other building blocks in place can go a long way in bettering your baby’s sleep without even needing to do sleep training!

Sleep is natural, and as humans we are built for sleep… unfortunately though sleep does not always come naturally.

It is necessary to have things in place to help with sleep. We refer to these as the building blocks of sleep.

Each one of these are important for BETTER sleep to happen. Just because one might be harder to implement does not make it more or less important.

We teach parents how to help their children sleep well and self-sooth by providing private consultations, in-home stay for overnight help, workshops, seminars and we also sell sleep-related products. By providing parents with a personalized sleep plan we believe all children can have the gift of a Good Night’s sleep. Our trained sleep consultants are one of a kind in Southern Africa because they are professional and undergo a strict screening and education process. With the advancement in technology we can now offer Online consultations anywhere in the world! PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT offer generic sleep training services! We are trained on the basics of neuroscience, nutrition, breastfeeding, stimulation, behavioural therapy, phycology etc. and the ways this relates to sleep for infants and toddlers. We don’t follow one particular methodology (Ferber, Weissbluth, Sleep Sense, Hogg, Ford) – what works for one mom might not work for another. Good Night are associated with international associations and our MD Jolandi Becker is Africa Director for APSC. We believe in a start to finish solution for you and your family!
