Hotel stayed - Sunrise Aqua Joy resort in Hurghada
Day tours in Cairo

I don’t know where to start ….

Air Egypt was ok, not very friendly and food was so so but it is what it is.

On landing in Cairo there was a backwards and forwards regarding the Visa, finally he called the bank and then stamped our passports.

The pick up from the airport was so hassle free and Mohamed was super friendly and offered day trips as well, kept in touch on whats app with me.

The resort was amazing.
Rooms were nice and clean and were cleaned every day
The food included in the all inclusive was fabulous, the buffet everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing, such a selection you couldn’t decide
The restaurants included were great for a change to the buffet
The pools, bars and staff were great – had to get used the abrupt manner again but they were really nice once they got used to us
The entertainment in the hotel was really good, even got me into the pool for aqua aerobics a few times LoL
The taxi service from the hotel was amazing, the guys in the hotel gave us advise on times to go to place, for example the Marina and even told us about a “mall” for shopping without being harassed and having to bargain for prices – did most our shopping at the Anton Mall.

The day trips we booked through the guys that walked around at the pool – Global Diving, I think it was called.
The Orange Bay trip was great and I booked for snorkelling and they offered us scuba diving while we were on board which we did and just paid the extra when we got back – the highlight of the holiday 😊
We did the paragliding, rubber ducking and submarine all through them
They treated us great and “my princess – Shakira” as they named my daughter was just about carried around by them all

The transfer back to the airport was on time and they took us into the airport at Hurghada and helped us check in and even took us to the gate for boarding.

The pick up in Cairo was just as smooth and the aircon van when we got here was such a pleasure in the heat 😊

The tour guide – Angie – was absolutely amazing, I cannot say enough about her, the enthusiasm when taking us around the museum, taking us around Cairo, suggesting the camel ride at the pyramids as we didn’t want to get on a camel again BUT we would have missed out on the beautiful picture and seeing all the Pyramids together which was also one of the highlights, suggesting an amazing restaurant for lunch where our view was the Sphinx and Pyramids.
Haggling with the places on prices that we got stuff for more than half what they were trying to get us to pay.
I asked for a place to get a piece of jewellery from Egypt, a camel pendant or something and she took us to a jeweller that made custom pieces for us and she got the prices so low I brought more than one piece each 😊
She got us to the Nile river boat trip for the sunset and the Capitan of the boat was such an entertainer – he was dancing and playing music for us
The night market once again she was haggling for us and making sure we weren’t to overwhelmed with the chaos and men trying to get us into their shops – got my daughter a chess
set that is all she can talk about now for way less then half of what we started with in the shop.
Angie has also kept in touch by whats app and sent me all the photos and videos she took of us

The bus driver – was also amazing, super friendly and put up with us girls taking our time or leaving places when we wanted.

Back to Cairo airport – their guys there were amazing, the guy that took us into the airport took us in, told us to wait just by the scanners to wait for him, off he went into the staff entrance and
5 minutes later came back and we were ushered straight through the VIP entrance, he had done passport control and everything for us, he lefts us as we went through to the gates and what a
pleasure – he was an absolute star

We had an amazing time and you could use all of the above again, thank you to you and all the guys involved for making this a holiday of a life time, it will never be forgotten.
