Yesterday we were so privileged to take this amazing group of representatives from four top Cape Town hotels on our !Khwa ttu E-bike educational up the West Coast!

The guests tucked into delicious breakfast roosterkoek, while learning about the history of !Khwa ttu before heading out on an amazing San guided E-bike ride through the reserve.

They stopped off at two villages where they were given a bow and arrow demonstration, learnt how to make fire and learnt interesting facts about the culture and heritage of the San people.

They then rode up to the boma at the top of the reserve where we were waiting with cold bubbly, fresh oysters and the most magnificent views.

For lunch, we all tucked into a delicious springbok stew, before being guided through the only heritage centre in the world dedicated to the San people.

We have been dying to see the colossal landmark, Dionysus by Angus Taylor. The owners of Tokara Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch open their magnificent private garden to the public once a year as part of the rare plant sale.

We were in awe of this rock giant! It was great to watch how the public interacted with this sculpture. Some just sat in silence and stared, others walked up to touch or climb all over him!

Angus Taylor's sculptures always seem to instill a sense of calmness in the viewer. This enormous figure took 18 months to create and 2 months to install. He is 4.2m tall, 6m wide and cast in Belfast granite. He weighs a whopping 25tons!

One of our main stops on our Stellenbosch Art and Wine Tour is Delaire Graff Estate. Here, guests will view the original 'Chinese Girl' by Vladimir Tretchikoff in the flesh.

This painting is one of the most iconic images of the 20th century. She has appeared everywhere from suburban living rooms to blockbuster films.

This iconic piece sparked Laurence Graff's love for art as a young man and he is now considered to be one of the top art collectors in the world.

We previously posted a short write up and photo of this public mural in Cape Town during the day.

We Just had to share this post! How incredible is this mural when lit up at night???

The aim of the project was to fund the installation of a street light system in one of Cape Town's more dangerous neighbourhoods.

Each time enough money had been raised for one new street light to be installed on a pathway in the informal settlement of Monwabisi Park, Khayelitsha, this mural would be lit up for the evening.

This work serves as a reminder that there are communities in the city that lack the luxury of light, which is a major safety concern

We need more of these powerful artworks in our city!!!

Today we took a family on an exciting E-Bike ride through !Khwa ttu. They viewed wildlife while riding through the reserve. Loads of fun was had and memories were made.

After the ride, they visited the only heritage centre in the world to be dedicated to Southern Africas indigenous San people which houses a 360 degree cinema.

What a luxurious experience!

This week we were invited for a wine and diamond pairing experience with Shimansky Diamond Jewellers.

We were greeted with a glass of bubbly and orange juice on arrival and watched the diamond cutting and polishing process.

Shimansky jewellery was then carefully paired with wine from Jordan Wine Estate Stellenbosch. Guests could try on each individual jewellery item, while sipping on the selected wine paired with that item.
