Magoebaskloof Birders’ Cottages are located on Dragonwyck Farm in the Magoebaskloof on the edge of the Limpopo Drakensberg escarpment. Accommodation comprises three self-catering cottages surrounded by indigenous plants providing the ideal habitat for many birds and animals. The cottages are accessed by a 2 km dirt road. The road is not suitable for very low profile cars or drivers who are unaccustomed to dirt roads.

Dragonwyck Farm is a working farm producing avocados and indigenous plants. Various walks can be enjoyed on the farm which follow the streams and provide access to escarpment forest. Woodbush Forest, one of the premier birding spots in South Africa, is also a short drive away and there are a number of scenic drives in the district for excellent bird watching opportunities. Fishing and adventure activities are available in the Haenertsburg area.
