💬 the best conversations start with “This one time in Africa …”
Because nothing compares to stories born under wide-open skies, by the fire, with lions roaring in the distance 🌒✨

Leopards are elusive, powerful, and utterly breathtaking. Spotting one in the wild is a moment you’ll never forget.
And a privilege beyond compare as they are notoriously difficult to track! 🐾
If you want to see one as relaxed as these in the wild, knowing where in Africa to go is key.
Have you experienced a leopard in the wild? 🐆💫

Hummingbird or Sunbird? 🤔 Both are bursts of iridescent colours in the smallest package! Sunbirds’ range extends through most of Africa, Asia and northern Australia.
Whilst they are reminiscent of the American hummingbird - and in fact fulfil the same ecological role as nectar eaters - they belong to a completely different family and are not related.
Their similarities in appearance are only due to their habitats being similar; a case of convergent evolution.
💫 The wonders of nature never cease to amaze us! Have you ever seen a hummingbird or a sunbird?

Sometimes you don’t need to say anything.
Sometimes the moment is complete exactly as it is.
What’s the most unforgettable place you’ve ever stood?

The journey vs the reward! 👉
On safari, the search is just as much part of the journey as the sighting. 👀
The anticipation as you leave the lodge, the excitement when you find a track or hear a vocalisation, the thrill of the first glimpse of tawny fur in between the vegetation and the awe of sharing precious moments with wild animals as they go about their lives - unbothered by our presence.
All of it makes up the absolute magic of safari. 💫
When you’re ready to experience it, you know where to find us!

A landscape straight out of another world. 🌎
At the edge of the Makgadikgadi salt pans, the world disappears into white silence. ☁️
A place where you can hear your own heartbeat. 💫
is history reanimated, with 1940s campaign style tents, adorned with a classic East African safari feel, including Persian and North African rugs, brass fittings, and luxurious textiles. It’s like stepping back in time, but with all the modern conveniences. ✨⛺️🐪
Would you visit this magical place? 🌴

The lala palm (Hyphaene petersiana) - with its iconic fan-shaped leaves and towering presence in the African wilderness - has an unlikely but ancient ally: the elephant.
In one of nature’s most beautiful collaborations, elephants play a vital role in the germination of these palms. Here’s how it works:
They eat the large, fibrous fruit, and as the seeds pass through their digestive tract, the tough outer layer is softened - an essential step that allows the seed to later absorb water and sprout. When the seed is finally excreted, it lands in a pile of nutrient-rich dung: nature’s perfect compost heap.
In short? No elephant, no lala palm.
This powerful seed dispersal system doesn’t just help the palms grow - it also spreads them far across the landscape, ensuring diversity and resilience in the ecosystem.
A reminder that in wild places, everything is connected. And sometimes, it takes the largest land mammal on Earth to help a tree begin.

As the sun sets over the Okavango Delta, we are reminded that safari nights aren’t just beautiful — they’re a portal to another world.
We recently visited the Delta again, and cannot wait to share more memories from this life changing place with you soon!

Did you know? A portion of every safari with Wild Again goes to the zululand_conservation_trust 🦏
The ZCT is very close to our heart as my father was one of the founders in 2011. The ultimate dream of the Trust is to facilitate the joining of 400 000 hectares of contiguous bushveld under conservation across Zululand, Pongola, Swaziland and Mozambique.
By being here, liking, commenting and sharing our posts, and travelling with us, you are helping us to turn this dream into reality. Thank you! Amy 🌿
The wildebeest migration - one of the greatest spectacles on earth. The noise, the dust, the marvel of a million bodies on the move.
Is this something you’re keen to experience?

Were you able to stifle your Monday morning yawn after looking at this Hippo? 🦛
Hippo teeth can grow up to 20 inches long - and they never stop growing! They also don’t use them for eating (being herbivores and all); instead, they’re weapons for fighting, especially among males.

A lioness carrying her cub is a coveted, yet very rare sighting on safari. Even for most of our team, who have spent years in the bush, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one that almost always happens by chance.
