“The Serengeti is one of my favourite places to shoot wildlife, as well as the famous endless plains, there is actually quite a diverse array of landscapes to frame your shot. Central Serengeti can be quite busy, but there are some stunning areas in the south east where you can still drive all day without seeing another vehicle.

For most people going to the Serengeti means following the Great Migration, which is indeed epic, but it is also where everyone else is.

I prefer to go where the migration isn’t happening, that way staying away from the crowds and having a much more pleasurable shooting experience. Not all the wildlife migrate, so you can have epic sightings.

For anyone going to the Serengeti to see the migration, I would strongly recommend taking a couple of extra days to go where the migration isn’t too!” Andrew Morgan
