Friendships created for a lifetime!
Byron has just returned from another safari with long time guests Ivo and Claudia from Germany. The first time they met was 9 years ago, and it was like they saw each other yesterday.
We tailor made their safari experience to exactly what they wanted, and what an experience it was.
The last week was spent at the magnificent Londolozi game reserve in the Greater Kruger Park. A special place with incredible game viewing and wonderful hospitality to really make you feel at home.

We have been a little quiet on social media for awhile, but that is only because we have been planning. As in nature, change occurs. Can you believe it, but we are approaching our 10 year anniversary, so we too are changing and growing. Keep your eyes on the look out for an exciting new look and specials to celebrate 10 years of Africa Revealed!

We will be showcasing regular wildlife sightings from the guides at one of our favourite camps in Botswana’s Okavango Delta - Chitabe. The area is a predator Mecca and to kick it off, here are images of a territorial dispute between the dominant male lions and young interlopers. The sighting took place yesterday and the images were captured by guide BB.

Ryan has just returned from another wonderful adventure with guests that have been travelling with us for many years. They spent time in the Okavango Delta and the rarely visited Makgadikgadi Pans. It was a safari to remember with incredible sightings, all while exploring the lesser known hidden gems of Botswana.

It is safari time again!
And for this trip, Byron will be guiding guests around the Greater Kruger National Park. They will be exploring majority of the Sabi Sand game reserve and staying at Mala Mala and Londolozi. Two of the most iconic photographic safari destinations in South Africa.

Today marks the first day of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. The days are getting warmer and longer and soon enough the dry bushveld will once again transform into a lush landscape, filled with a bounty of life.

Some wonderful news for all our American guests.
As of Sunday the 12th of June, Travel is back to normal, you no longer need any Covid testing to travel back to the United States.

It has been far too long since we have posted anything for all our guests and followers. The world has been in an incredibly strange place. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, travel to Africa is increasing again and restrictions are becoming more relaxed. South Africa has just joined Botswana in the decision to lift the need for PCR tests to enter the country. All travelers have to do now is present a valid up to date vaccination certificate.
What wonderful news.

It has not been an easy two years for tourism, but persistence, planning and organizing prevails.
We have just completed another amazing safari for a big group of guests celebrating a special milestone birthday.
What better place to visit for a fun few days in the bush other than Londolozi Game Reserve.
We started planning a few months ago, and together with their amazing hospitality we managed to pull off an incredible experience that the guests will remember forever.
Fantastic game viewing, leopards, lions, elephant, buffalo and not to mention all the interesting smaller bush creatures we encountered.
Exceptional food and luxurious comfortable camps combined with the warm hospitality made it even that much more special.

We would like to thank everyone involved for making this trip possible.
Ryan and Byron for being incredible guides and hosts for the trip.
Londolozi for going out of their way and delivering on every expectation and more.
And as always a very special thank you to our guests for choosing to travel with us. Without you, trips like this are not possible.

Our recent guests were treated to an incredible sighting on their safari at Londolozi Game Reserve.
The couple had just got engaged earlier that day, and the afternoon only got better.
They were fortunate to see a lioness leading her very young Cubs to a kill for the first time.

Thank you to Dylan and Bella for sharing their wonderful experience with us. And we are so glad we were able to play a part in their engagement.
Wishing them many happy years together.

Our lucky guests are currently enjoying Botswana's Okavango Delta. The two camps that were chosen for their stay are Chitabe and Jao, both offer the chance to view incredible wildlife and enjoy stunning scenery. These camps offer a diverse variety of activities from game drives and bush walks to boating and scenic helicopter flips, all in some of the most pristine wilderness areas on earth.

It has been a long time since we have been able to guide guests from a abroad, but luckily with vaccinations, social distancing and carefully following protocols, we have been able to enjoy the bush with foreigners again.

This particular trip was really special, because both Ryan and Byron guided a group for over a week in the greater Kruger Park.
A change of pace, beautiful warm winters days, and a variety of wildlife made it an incredible trip with many laughs and lots of fun along the way.

Here are just a couple of quick images everyone got while on safari.
Getting up close and personal with Elephant, trying to track a mischievous Honey Badger and taking time to look at the smaller creatures like Termites.
We had a fantastic time from start to finish.
We look forward to having more guests come out soon.

Some very fantastic news for our USA guests. United airlines has touched down in South Africa bringing many excited travellers back to Africa. Flights are direct from New York to Johannesburg, making travel much easier.

We have been a little quiet with our Facebook posts while we have not had many of our guests travelling to Africa and enjoying safaris with us due to the pandemic. That said we will be posting more regularly again as things are slowly starting to pick up. With the rollout of vaccines around the world there is renewed optimism and bookings are once again coming in. We are available for any Africa travel related questions, so feel free to contact us. Wildlife and space are still abound making Africa an exciting and safe environment for travel.

Two apex predators fighting over a kill. Definitely not a usual place for a lion to confront a leopard, it just shows how unpredictable nature can be.

We have some new and exciting news.
The Africa Revealed team is growing!
Rudi Aucamp, has just joined to head up our European division of Business.
Rudi grew up in South Africa, and spent most of his childhood in the bush, the passion and love for nature took over immediately.
Here is some insight to Rudi’s background.

“I can still remember as a young child the sheer joy that I was overcome by as we approached the gates of the Kruger National Park and the incredible sense of the mysterious unknown of what could be around the next corner. Everything about the bush excites me, the sounds of the crackling campfire at night eagerly listening for the sounds of hyenas, or if you lucky the calls of nearby lions and the feeling of anticipation of whether we might be lucky enough to see them on the next morning's early drive. The smell of the bush in summer after a thunderstorm, or the taste of the standard coffee and rusk breakfast on a crisp winter's morning, the wide open spaces, the incredible wildlife and the pure magic of being in untouched mother nature. I knew that I wanted to be a part of this wonderland forever.

Later on in my life I became an attorney and got involved in the law of conservation of endangered species acting on behalf of lodges and organisations that were dedicated to the protection of these species. During that time i felt a deep connection to these organisations and was truly drawn to the incredible men and women that have dedicated their lives to protect the natural heritage of Africa, and again I wanted to be a part of that and joined a Non Profit Organization as a volunteer responsible for the protection of rhino and other endangered species.

Whilst practising as an attorney and acting on behalf of lodges a new passion quickly developed, that being African Travel. There is no way of truly expressing one's passions than by sharing it with others and that is when I finally knew that I wanted to be able to show people from all over the world the magical beauty of Africa, her untouched landscapes, her amazing people and cultures and hopefully instill the same childhood feelings of excitement that I still have today, to others"

Now with his own family, Rudi is based in London, and as soon as he is able to he will be meeting up with guests in Europe to plan their next African adventure.

Recently Byron took repeat guests Willem and Teresa on a trip to Londolozi Game Reserve.
It was truly amazing as always, and our guests wrote about it for the Londolozi Blog.
