** Update on Pastor Prinsloo **

Pastor Gert Prinsloo met with his oncology doctors on the 14th of May, and they have decided to begin treatment as soon as possible. He will be checking into the hospital on Monday, the 20th, where they will place a port under anesthesia. He will remain in the hospital for a week, and if everything goes as planned, chemotherapy will start next week.

The coming months will be extremely challenging as Pastor Prinsloo will undergo an aggressive treatment regimen designed to shrink the tumor. This involves receiving 2 to 3 treatments in the first week, followed by a 3-week recovery period, for the next 5 months.

Update on Pastor Gert Prinsloo

We are extremely glad that Pastor Gert Prinsloo is back home and recuperating. It’s been a challenging journey - Recovering from the prior surgery has been a difficult process filled with both good and bad days. We are also extremely happy that the cancer hasn’t spread. Pastor Prinsloo will be visiting the hospital on the 19th of April 2023 again for an MRI scan but we are positive that the MRI will go smoothly.

Starting the chemo and radiation journey will be determined as soon as we receive the final MRI results, but it’s understandable that it’s still a long road ahead.

Update on Pastor Prinsloo

Following his first operation, he is doing well and remains optimistic about his progress. This week, he will undergo additional tests before beginning chemotheraphy and radiation. Fortunately, the cancer has not spread, but an MRI will be conducted to confirm this before treatment commences. Once these tests are completed, he can anticipate returning home.

Recently, Pastor Gert Prinsloo received a diagnosis of cancer, a battle that none of us could have anticipated. While we are heartened by his strength and faith during this difficult time, we are also faced with the harsh reality that the costs of his treatment far exceeds what his current hospital plan covers.

The treatment plan prescribed by his medical team includes chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and a necessary operation. However, the financial burden associated with these life-saving procedures is daunting, and Pastor Gert Prinsloo simply cannot afford it alone.

As a community, we have always rallied together in times of need, supporting one another through thick and thin. Today, I am reaching out to humbly ask for your support once again.
