What more can anyone want in a Blue Wildebeest! Wide old bull we managed to get Anna!🏆
Anna’s first trip to Africa had her excited to get behind the rifle, after Ivan’s Golden wildebeest we set out the next morning in search of the right animal for Anna to get in her scope, after a few failed stalks we managed to get into around 180 yards of this very old Blue Wildebeest bull!
At the shot the bull jumped and disappeared into the thick brush, we gave him a few minutes and followed up, only to find the bull had made about 60 yards before going down! What a shot and what an introduction to Africa! 🌍

First morning out for Ivan from Russia and we managed to get into this awesome old Golden Wildebeest Bull! The first shot unfortunately struck him high and he did what wildebeest do best, run like crazy! They are super tough animals but we persisted and managed to finish him off in the afternoon! With age comes size and this old boy has all the age! 🏆🍀

We had an eventful trip to Zululand with some friends! First is .hulett1 with a 30”+ Nyala bull we hunted hard for and eventually ended up shooting at under 20 yards with my trusty old FN .375H&H!🏆
also got in on the action with an impala for meat at under 25 yards also with the .375H&H and I managed to find a very rare RED NYALA BULL 🔥🏆

Big old lion Zach hunted with us! Stalking into less that 30 yards on these big cats sure gets the heart going! Even with the cat showing signs that he was not happy with us being so close Zach held his ground and put in a great shot! Well done brother!🍀

Zach decided an eland was on his list after spotting a big old bull high up in the mountains, we tried a stalk but he simply disappeared! Fast forward a few days and we got back up into the mountains after eland, we spread out a little glassing the basins and plateaus below us, it wasn’t long and I had a brute of a bull walk out below me slowly feeding in the late afternoon sun, I quickly called Zach in and we got set up!
The bull slowly fed away from us and behind some brush not giving us a shot, eventually he turned to the left giving Zach and opportunity, the shot broke and the bull hunched up and ran about 200yards (notice the blood high on his shoulder in picture 1, the shot was at a good angle down) he disappeared out of sight! It looked like a good shot given the angle!
We made our way down slowly and found some blood and the deep tracks from this old bull, we followed another 200 yards and noticed the tracks starting to go downhill unsteadily, following slowly another 50 yards we found him lying as dead as can be! We took some photos and I headed back to the truck to start the drive around to try get as close as we could to load this big boy, luckily we managed to get the truck right up to him dispute all the rocks and brush! What a bull Zach and the end of your Spiral Slam in Natal🍀

Glassing the free range mountains we spotted this beautiful nyala bull and decided to take a closer look, doing a big loop around to get the wind right we crested the opposite ridge and immediately spotted him grazing in the morning sun! A quick look and Zach was up on the sticks and ready, he fed out from behind some Aloes, Zachs crosshairs settled on his should and the shot broke the silence, the bull was down! We made our way around to him! What a bull in the freerange mountains of KwaZulu-Natal! After some photos we cut him up and packed him out!🍀

Welcoming our guests on Safari!

We start our second Safari of 2025 in a few days, looking forward to a jam packed season of Adventure!🐃🐘🐆🦁🦏

We spotted this bull early in the morning but he gave us the slip, moving up river and into some thick bush in the heat of the day! We headed back to camp for lunch and worked out a plan, we would get up high on the side of the canyon opposite to where we had last seen the bull in the morning! Around 3pm we headed out and got setup, it couldn’t have been more than 30 minutes and our tracker spotted the bull slowly feeding away from us at about 650 yards! We quickly decided we had better head around and get in front of him in order to close the distance! We headed back to where we had left the truck and drove about 4 miles around coming in from the other side!
With the sun setting we rushed to get into position, the bull slowly fed across to our right, with no more cover Zach decided to stretch the legs on his 6.5PRC, he got setup on the sticks and we ranged the bull, 480 yards, a long way out there! Zach confident in his gear adjusted the elevation and squeezed the shot, the bull jumped and ran to our right behind a small ridge, the shot looked and sounded good, we quickly made our way to where we had last seen him, and there he was! It was all over! What a bull and to top it off it was 100% free range🏆

A giraffe with a bow is not the easiest feat! Stalking this bull and eventually playing cat and mouse with him amongst the acacia scrub we managed to get an arrow into him! What a bull, what a hunt and what a shot🏆

Zach showed some interest in trying to shoot a porcupine, I didn’t think we would end up with 5!
Walking and stalking bushpigs in the crop lands at night you often bump into these cool critters!

Day 2 had us out after Common Reedbuck, foggy rainy weather was not ideal but we made the most of it! We headed out to another property we hunt and started glassing the rolling hills!
Not long and we had seen a good number of game, Common and Mountain Reedbuck, Vaal Rhebok and Oribi! Moving from valley to valley we found this old boy lying down, we had a patch of bush right between us which made our stalk possible, edging in to around 130 yards Zach got onto the sticks and made a perfect shot with his 6.5PRC! Another brute of a common reedbuck in the salt! 🔥
