KAUZU GAME RANCH LEADS WAY FOR LOCAL TOURISM PROMOTION IN THE CITY OF CHIPATA

Despite Chipata having no natural tourism site of significance, a local farmer has invested over K1 million to develop a game ranch with a view of promoting local tourism through nature conservation.

In this interview last year, the Kauzu Game Ranch Proprietor, Mr Teleka Chirwa, speaks on his plans to turn the 30 acre piece of land into a sanctuary for events, camping, viewing of exotic birds and game animals as well as education tours.

Mr Chirwa notes that for the tourism sector to grow and serve both the local and international market, it needs full government support.

Kauzu Game Ranch is also a masterpiece of Mr Chirwa’s love for art that traces its foundation in his early school days.
