Location
Zambia is a landlocked country in the southern part of Africa; it lies mostly between latitudes 8° and 18° S, and longitudes 22° and 34° E. It boarders with eight (8) countries, Malawi, Namimbia, D.R. Congo, Tazania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botwsana, and Angola. Its capital city is Lusaka.
Population/Area
It has an estimated total population of 20,216,029 people as of 2023 and an area of 752,617 km².
Ruler ship
The country is ruled under Democracy Rule of law. It got its independence on the 24th of October 1964 from the British rule and Dr Kenneth Kaunda was Zambians first republican President. The current is the 7th Republican president of Zambia since independence.
Language/Ethnicity
The official language is English, plus other local/regional languages being; Bemba, Nyanja, Tonga, Tumbuka, Lozi, Chewa, Nsenga, Lunda, Kaonde, Lala, Lamba, Luvale, Mambwe, Lenje, Namwanga, Bisa, Ushi, Ila, Mbunda, Ngoni, Senga, Lungu, Toka-leya
Administrative Division
Zambia is administratively divided into 10 provinces (Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Luapula, Lusaka, Muchinga, North-Western, Northen, Sourtehn, and Western province), with 117 Districts, 156 Constituencies and 1,281 Wards.
Climate
The climate is Tropical. Zambia is located on the plateau of Central Africa, between 1,000 and 1,600 meters above sea level and the average elevation of 1,200 meters gives the land a general moderate climate. It has Two (20 seasons; summer (Rainy season) between November to April and winter (Dry season) between May/June to October/November.

Nature
There are numerous ecosystems in Zambia such as Grassland Vegetation, forest, woodland and thicket.
Zambia has an estimate 3,543 species of wild flowering plants, consisting of serbaceous plants, sedges and woody plants.
It also has a total of 242 mammal species mostly occupying the woodland and grassland
757 estimated bird species of which it consists of either resident, afro tropic migrants, those that breed within the country or non breeding migrants.
490 known fish species, belonging to 24 fish families, with Lake Tanganyika having the highest number of endemic species.
Culture
Stample food is Nshima with any relish such as vegetables, meat, fresh and dry fish, kapenta. Etc.
Zambian traditional ceremonies; Kuomboka and Kathanga in western province, Mutomboko in luapula province, Kulamba and Ncwala in eastern province, Lwiindi and Shimunenga in sourthen province, Lunda lubanza in north-western province, Likumbi lyamize in north-western, Mbunda Lukwakwa in north-western, Chibwela Kumushi in central province, Vinkhakanimba in Muchinga province and Ukusefya Pa Ng’wena in northen Province
Ceremonies done once a year include; Nc’wala, Kulonga, Kuomboka, Malaila, Nsengele, Chibwela kumushi, Dantho, Ntongo, Makundu, Lwiindi, Chuungu, and Lyenya.
Traditional Arts; basketry, stools, fabrics, pottery, mats, wire craft, ivory carvings, copper crafts, and wooden carvings. Traditional music involves playing of traditional drums, singing and dancing.
