PUMA ENERGY LAUNCHES THE FIRST RURAL SERVICE STATION IN CHIFUNABULI OUT THE 25 COUNTRYWIDE

Puma Energy has launched a new project in Zambia aimed at providing the combined services of access to energy, financial services, and healthcare to rural communities. The project involves the installation of 25 Rural Service Stations, the first of which recently opened in Chifunabuli District, Luapula.

What makes this initiative unique is that the rural service station is powered entirely by solar energy. In addition to the filling station, the service station also includes a mini bank and a pharmacy, providing essential services to remote communities in Zambia.

This project serves as an example of how private enterprises can positively impact rural communities, providing essential services and empowering local individuals.

The untold story of Kabaso- A NORTHERN CIRCUIT PRODUCT

Sometimes those who have been hurt in life might tell you that, no matter what you do, your dreams will never come true because they are impossible. They speak from behind open wounds, so do not be misguided by their discouraging words.

On this note, it is a story of a man with humble beginnings from a rural area of Zambia, who learnt how to make clothes using a sewing machine in a local market. His dreams, ambition, and effort have made him go international.

Kabaso Nkandu, now a renowned fashion designer, is well known as Nkandu Yatu as a brand name. However, blaze a trail as a fashion designer. Kabaso had always dreamed of becoming a top fashion designer in Zambia.

Nothing is more rewarding than looking back at where one started and knowing that it has all been worthwhile. He hails from Mwansabombwe, a district of Luapula province with very little exposure to modern fashion.

We are the architects of our own destiny. Not even God can take us along a path that we have not planned. In other words, nobody is going to compel you to dream. This work is for you alone.

Kabaso connected his skills in fashion design by using local textiles such as Chitenge to communicate African stories through clothing. It did not take him much longer in his fashion career for Nkandu Yatu to become well-known in Zambia.

Nkanda Yatu came into the spotlight in 2017, and Kabaso has created an undeniable footprint in the African fashion space for his unique talent in merging African designs with a modern twist.

Being brave does not mean that you are never scared; it simply means going forth in spite of your fears, knowing that there is a reward at the end for those who work diligently and persevere despite the hardships along the way.

Kabaso recently made his first appearance on a European fashion runway with a new collection that aims to highlight Zambian culture through fashion. The prominent Zambian house was invited to showcase at the Milan Fashion Week in Italy to an audience of global participants and leaders in fashion.

“I am grateful for the local and international support that I have received throughout my entrepreneurial journey." I believe that this particular showcase in Milan will aid in the growth and exposure of Zambian fashion, "said Kabaso.

We can now take a rest for tonight knowing we are blessed with lots of natural wonders such as this Lumangwe Falls on the Northern Circuit of our beautiful country, Zambia 🇿🇲. We shall endeavour to improve the road network for easy access to these areas.

Sincerest condolences 🙏🏼

I have learned with deep sorrow the passing of Mr lsaac Bwali who was Ward Councillor for Chella Ward in my Constituency Senga Hill District. Like many people, Mr Bwali was one of those who wanted the best for Senga Hill and tried to do his at all times.

We Will remember our dear departed colleague for his charisma and friendly personality. He was a good man who will be greatly missed by all friends and relatives.

May the soul of our beloved colleague rest in eternal peace and may God give the whole family comfort in this trying time.
