The Barotse Native Police was the first police force set up in Zambia in the late 1890s in Mongu by the British South Africa company (BSA) and over the years was transformed up to the current Zambia Police Service. In the picture are the first recruits posing for a photo shoot at Lealui in Mongu, circa 1898.
