Coming up trip: 21 day to Tanzania. Parks to visit are Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengetti via Ndutu for the wildebeest calving and predator interaction then Tanga for some cultural, historical and social experience before a visit to Saadani a park on the beaches of the Indian Ocean... can't wait!!!!

Best place to experience elephant behavior is at a watering hole. Here you get to witness undocumented interaction between members of the herd and other species. Wallowing, drinking and calves playing is always a sight to behold.

With a limited distribution range, the Lilian Love bird (Agapornis lilianae) is very common in South Luangwa NP with flocks numbering in their thousands. Best time to see and photograph these beautiful birds is the dry season June-October when they noisily feed alongside redbilled quelea (Quelea quelea) in open grass lands or at water holes.

Nothing beats a sighting of this magnificent creature in day time. The south Luangwa NP (nicknamed the valley of the leopard )is definitely one of the best places to do that.

It's almost calving time for the wildebeest again Jan- March ( Serengetti / Ndutu area Ngorongoro ). This is truly a spectacle to behold.You get a chance to experience the real beginning of the circle of their yearly migration. It's a chance to see and experience a new beginning of the herds before they beef up and make their long journey to the Masai Mara.
