This year again the My Beautiful Home competition took place in the wonderful Matobo hills of Zimbabwe. The stunning quality of the designs makes the whole country proud of its culture.
The talented, dedicated, genuine, spirited rural women are leading the way for a promising future of Zimbabwe !

The Sebenza , Ekhaya Gaia-My Beautiful Home in Zimbabwe tours are taking place . We welcome people from all parts of the world, all walks of life to come and witness what the women in Matobo are doing. We take you to have an insight of how the people live their day to day lives as well as show you of their traditions.
A shout out to the French Alliance aswell as the French Ambassador to Zimbabwe for coming to have a tour of the homes and also supporting the local women doing various projects such as busket making.

A TRIP TO VICTORIA FALLS
Facts:
Victoria Falls known in the local dialects as(Lozi: Mosi-oa-Tunya, which is to say "The Smoke That Thunders"; Tonga: Shungu Namutitima, "Boiling Water"). It is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa, which provides habitat for several unique species of plants and animals. Located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, it happens to be one of the world's largest waterfalls, with a width of 1708 m (5604 ft). If you have never been to this part of Zimbabwe then reshuffle your bucket list😃

Its a new week and our tours to Matobo resume every Wednesday and Saturday. The tour is going for USD $30 pp and booking first is a must.
This is a community enhancing project in partnership with Ekhaya Gaia-My Beautiful Home in Zimbabwe. Not only do you get a great tour but you also get to support a community initiative where the women of the Matobo are doing amazing works. Funds go towards transport, refreshments, paying a local guide, each of the homes visited gets a percentage and a percentage goes towards supporting the My Beautiful Home - Comba Indlu Ngobuciko project for 2021

My Beautiful Home Visits
An official and endorsed tour by the My Beautiful Home project.
Sebenza Bulawayo Tours and Travel is pleased to announce that in conjunction with the Ekhaya Gaia-My Beautiful Home in Zimbabwe we present to the local public, for the first time, visits to the winners of the traditional home painting competition.
The visits will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays to some of the more remote areas of the Matobo to view these treasures. The MY Beautiful Home project, over the past 7 years, has revitalised the tradition of painting homes and decorating traditional kitchens in the area. These visits will give you an opportunity to not only visit a selection of 5 homes, view the work but also speak to the artists of these incredible works of living art.
Visits are in the rural Matobo, pick up time is at 08.00 at a central location in the CBD, from where you will be taken to the homes, spend time with each of the homes and be returned to the CBD at approximately lunchtime. Water is included as is a local tour guide.

Visits are US$ 30 per person over the age of 16. Standard tours are not suitable for children, however, feel free to contact us with regard to organising this for you. WE also welcome small party groups or personal tours.

Hey guys, tomorrow is Africa day. Many people might not understand what we really celebrate on the day! Now here is a brief explanation.
Africa Day is a day intended to celebrate and acknowledge the successes of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU now the AU) from its creation on May 25, 1963, in the fight against colonialism and apartheid, as well as the progress that Africa has made while reflecting upon the common challenges that the continent faces in a global environment.
As Sebenza Bulawayo tours and Travel we shall be offering tours and travel services in the beautiful City of Kings and Queens, Bulawayo.

Tomorrow all roads lead to Zonkizizwe Shopping Centre. The legendary Dot Bekker will be by the car park for her book signing and sales. What is the book about? I know many are curious! It is about the extraordinary journey of a woman who drove 20 000 kms in a 20year old 2WD Ford Transit Van to return home to Zimbabwe.
