DID YOU KNOW?

The Victoria Falls National Park🏞️ was once part of the larger Zambezi National Park🏞️ until 1979 when it was designated a standalone National Park.

The 23.4 square kilometre national park is undoubtedly famous for hosting the world's largest sheet of falling water⛲ which support a sprightly and luxuriant rainforest🌿 hosting tree and plant species found nowhere else in Zimbabwe🇿🇼 including mahogany🌳, palms🌴, liana vines🌿, ferns🌿 and other epiphytes. Cobbled paths line the rainforest providing visitors with many an access to different viewing points each offering a unique viewing angle of the falls.

Apart from the above, the National Park is a designated Ramsar Wetland and a World Heritage Site. It hosts Southern white rhinoceros🦏 in addition to the sounders of warthog🐗, thriving herds of elephants🐘 and antelope🦌, monkey troops🐒 (baboons and vervet monkeys), towers of giraffe🦒 and pods of hippopotamus🦛.

ZIMBABWE SAFETY

I'm completely astonished by the number of people who have enquired whether Zimbabwe is safe!

To answer ... from my experience it is very much so. Note however, that I don't walk around tempting fate with bills hanging out my pockets or dripping with jewellery. Not something one does pretty much anywhere in the world these days.

The Zimbabwean people of all tribes are renowned for their friendliness, helpfulness and humour.

Come, visit, and enjoy !

It is purple season ... enjoy the Jacarandas in flower along our city streets.

NOTE; all racist, xenophobic, political or irrelevant comments will be deleted. This page is not the forum for these things.
