Even though Socotra is in its off-season, we’re coming together as a community to celebrate Plastic-Free July by taking on some impactful actions! 🌍✨

Last week we had a beach clean-up in Abu Dhabi when the plastics (and cans) collected were sent for recycling. ♻️ We invite you to do the same wherever you are! Join us in making the planet greener and cleaner! 🌿💚

🌿✨Our commitment to reducing plastic waste:

- Our team of local heroes not only bring back all of our own waste after each tour but also collect as much litter as possible along the way
- Our guests refill a metal water bottle (that we provide!) throughout their tour instead of using single-use plastic bottles
- We use only metal cutlery, glass, and melamine utensils on our tour
- We are actively searching for partner companies to bring recycling initiatives to the island

♻ How can you help?
- Avoid bringing plastic to Socotra AND take back any recyclables and dry plastic waste (snack wrappers, water bottles, wrapping of new items, etc) to be properly disposed of in your home countries or connection stops
- Use environmentally-friendly shampoo, conditioner, soap, sunscreen, etc.
- Only bring wet wipes that are chemical-free and made of 100% natural fibers AND do not leave them in nature after use.
