Thebes is one of the famed cities of antiquity. Its remains, some of which date back to the 11th dynasty (2081–1939 BCE) of ancient Egypt, lie on both sides of the Nile River in what is now the modern-day country of Egypt. The Thebes area also includes the archaeologically rich sites of Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, and Karnak. The remains found at these sites—including impressive temples, palaces, and royal tombs—provide a view of the architecture, religious customs, and daily life of ancient Egypt.

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦

A day tour today to Nelson Mandela’s House, Soweto Township, Number 4 Jail and the Apartheid Museum. Whilst many people are keen to avoid Johannesburg, I truly believe it’s important to visit and experience these places and learn about the history of Apartheid. It’s the sort of place you experience and you’ll be forever changed by. To me, that’s the essence of travel, to learn and grow. So if you’re planning a trip to Southern Africa, it’s worth adding a two night stay.can

Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary has its roots based on African Tradition, culture and religion aimed at brotherhood, sincerity from man to animal

The African has a strong belief in his gods. European Christians brought Christianity into Africa, thus converting many African’s to the worship of Christ. This means that the African must throw away his culture and the belief in the worship of their gods. Some African’s however, decided to stick to their tradition and culture.

One such people can be found in the twin villages of Boabeng/Fiema located North of Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.

In about 1827 Nana Kwabena Panin, the Chief of Sesedom, a suburb of Boabeng was commissioned by Nana Damoah Kwaku, chief of Boabeng to give a portion of land to the people of Fiema who had then migrated from Kokofu in Ashanti and had traveled all the way to Nkoranza.

Nana Nkoranza manhene at the time asked his son Nana Damoah Kwaku the Chief of Boabeng to give a place to the people of Fiema for settlement. For security reasons, Nana Kwabena panin on the instructions of Nana Damoah Kwaku gave a portion of the land very close to Boabeng to the people of Fiema for settlement and to engage in farming

Before the settlement of the people of Fiema Nana Kwabena Amoah of Boabeng had found the Fe**sh Daworo, in a mysterious place and circumstances.

The Fe**sh DAWORO was surrounded by two Mona Monkeys “KWAKUO” and Black and White colobus monkeys “EFOO”. Nana Kwabena amoah brought the Fe**sh Daworo to the Village of Boabeng and the four Monkeys followed suit.

An oracle was consulted about the relationship between the fe**sh Daworo and the mysterious monkeys. The Oracle declared that the monkeys were the children of the fe**sh Daworo. The oracle also declared that the monkeys should not be killed or harmed because they were sacred.

GOD BLESS AFRICA 🌍

Stone Town is one of the oldest living Swahili towns in East Africa. It's unique winding, narrow streets are adorned with (some crumbling) beautiful buildings. Established by Arab slave and spice traders in the early 19th century, Stone Town is the cultural heart of Zanzibar. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site which has enabled some of the beautiful houses to get a much-needed renovation. It's right on the Indian Ocean and faces Tanzania's mainland and commercial capital, Dar es Salaam.

Stone Town History
Stone Town gets its name from the ornate houses built with local stone by Arab traders and slavers during the 19th Century. It is estimated that around 600,000 slaves were sold through Zanzibar between 1830-1863. In 1863 a treaty was signed to abolish the slave trade, agreed to by the British and the Omani Sultans that ruled Zanzibar at this time. Stone Town was also an important base used by many European explorers including David Livingstone. The ornate trellises and balconies on some of the buildings reflect this later European influence.

"This Owerri, the capital city of Imo State Eastern Nigeria" ( This is Africa 🌍)

Owerri, the capital of Imo State is a city that is full of life. Today, several stunning monuments are seen on almost every bus-stop in the city. The city is green and well planned. You would feel the vibe of the city anywhere you go to. However, there are many unassuming points of interest which you would definitely come to notice if you are keen enough. We have revealed some of those things that you would notice when you come to Owerri.

Masked Tout Activities
You may not see these bad boys often in Owerri except in motor parks. The touts are invisible yet very active when it comes to nefarious activities. The presence of the cult groups in some of the tertiary institution is another reason to be careful. You may not readily see them around but they can turn up swiftly when they do. Tout activities are not threatening in the city but it is there for you to see.

Home of Hustlers
Owerri is home to a lot of hustlers. The cost of goods and services isn’t necessarily as affordable as in the neighboring town, Aba. This makes a lot of residents here learn to be frugal with their earnings. If you can work hard in Owerri, you may not have problem making ends meet at the end of the day. The people are enlightened and they are able to adopt fast to every economic condition that they find themselves.

Night Owls' Second Home
Like Lagos, Port Harcourt and other cities with vibrant night activities, Owerri has an awesome nightlife. Some parts of the city may appear to be silent during the day but when it comes to the night, you would be stunned by what you would see. People from Owerri’s neighbouring cities are seen trooping here in the night. In the morning especially on Monday morning, you would see a lot of people - who very likely came in over the weekend to have fun - heading back to their bases from Owerri.

The People™s Lifestyle
Comfort and luxury paints the city of Owerri red. You would not be intimidated by the rich which is the good news because everyone is important here. It is not a city where you would be lost because of communication or relationship with people. The people of Owerri must have abandoned some of the old ibo traditions that may not be pleasant to visitors away for tourism to rule.

Peace and Hospitality
There is no trouble getting to know Owerri better because the people here are peaceful and accommodating. Visitors are warmly welcomed and help is always dished out, making tourism to be amazing in this place. When you visit any of the villages around, the story is the same which is the reason we see a lot of visitors visiting Owerri every now and again.
