🌴 Private Pool Villas for a large family in Thailand

I recently had the pleasure of planning a memorable holiday for a family of five—two adults and three young adults—who were looking for a relaxing escape to spend quality time together. With their budget and desires in mind, I curated a week of pure relaxation across two stunning destinations: a private pool villa in Krabi and a spacious three-bedroom duplex apartment at a beach resort in Hua Hin. 🏖️

They enjoyed daily breakfasts at both locations, which they appreciated, thanks to the warm and welcoming local staff. Their trip in July was timed perfectly during the shoulder season, offering the ideal mix of great deals and fewer crowds. Japan offers a multitude of experiences year-round, from cherry blossom season in spring to vibrant foliage in autumn and incredible skiing in winter. With so much to offer, choosing the best time to visit can be a challenge.

Japan might be one of my favourite travel destinations. I have visited Japan two times, both at the end of summer, as I am one to avoid crowds. Here are some of the considerations:

📅 When planning, consider national holidays like Golden Week, Obon, and Japanese New Year, as these are peak times for residents.

🏂 January - Ski northern Japan: Enjoy peaceful slopes and heavy snowfall in Hokkaido.

🌸 April - Cherry blossom season: Experience the magic of cherry blossoms, but book early for the best views.

🌿 June - See vibrant gardens: Despite rainy season, enjoy luscious gardens across the country.

⛰️ July - Hike Mount Fuji: Beat the crowds and enjoy cooler weather while hiking Japan's iconic peak.

🍂 September - Beat the crowds: Experience fewer crowds and lower prices as schools return.

🏙️ November - See Tokyo: Enjoy clear skies, cooler weather, and vibrant autumn foliage in Tokyo.

🤼‍♂️ Don't forget to catch one of Tokyo's main sumo tournaments, held only six times a year!
