Ramadan is a time of reflection and piety.

The dates of Ramadan vary from year to year, but it is estimated to fall around 23 March to 21 April 2023. During this month, Muslims across the globe observe a dawn-to-dusk fast to reflect, refresh and grow. Regular prayer, acts of charity and modesty are encouraged in an atmosphere of giving and empathizing with those less fortunate during Ramadan.

This Holy Month is a great time to get involved with local traditions and broaden your understanding of the culture. The streets and malls light up with decorations and everyone is invited to share in the joy with a range of evening events, and malls extend their opening hours to accommodate Ramadan late-night activities.

Emirates Introduces World's First-Ever Robotic Check-In System.

In a world-first, Emirates will be introducing a portable robotic check-in system at airports across the city this year. The system- called Sara- will speak at least six languages and help in everything from check-in to hotel bookings.

Sara will be able to track the bags of passengers from check-in to when they are ready for pick-up at their destination. The robot, which is about the size of a carry-on bag, will also be equipped with a screensaver showing the latest flight information.

The check-in system is just one of the many innovations that Emirates has introduced in recent years to make the travel experience more seamless and enjoyable for its passengers. With over 200 of these systems set to be up and running in airports across the city over the next few years, Emirates is leading the way in providing a truly world-class travel experience.
