A Kashmiri Daughter has launched an Islamic website (www.DuaGo.cc) in the memory of her father who passed away due Covid-19 last year. On this website you can select/create a dua, make a “DuaGoal” (niyat/intention) of reciting the dua a certain number of times and share the link with your friends and family. They will join your Dua and you all can pray together to reach your “DuaGoal”.
Normally when someone would be ill, or on someone’s death anniversary or on an inauguration of a business etc, we would get together physically and pray for the common cause. But now with family members living in different places and ever increasing Covid restrictions, we can still continue to pray together on this digital platform.

The intention is that anyone going through a tough time feels supported, anyone going through a happy time feels more blessed and overall be closer to God and closer as a community.

Bakra Eid also known as Eid-ul-Adha is an important festival celebrated by Muslims across the world.

Out of the two Eids, Eid-ul-Adha, which are celebrated by Muslims, Bakra Eid is said to be holier.

It is celebrated on at the end of Hajj, a yearly pilgrimage to Mecca which Muslims are required to embark on once in their live.

Bakra Eid is also known as Sacrifice Feast as this day marks Prophet Ibrahim's devotion and faith in Allah.

God had once asked Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice the dearest thing to him to prove his love and faith, and so Prophet Ibrahim decided to sacrifice his only son.

When Prophet Ibrahim was about to kill his son, God sent his angel Jibra'il (Gabriel) to replace the son with a goat. And so, since that day Bakra Eid is celebrated to remember Prophet Ibrahim's faith in God.

The is celebrated by sacrificing a male goat; it is divided into three portions-- the first part is given to relatives, friends and neighbours; the second to the poor and needy; the third is for the family. Delicious dishes like mutton Biryani and Mutton korma, and desserts like kheer and sheer khurma are prepared on this day.

Speaking to the Media about the reported and religious of two Sikh Girls in Kashmir, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) president Bibi Jagir Kaur informed that one of the two, who was Married off to a Muslim Man, does not want to reconvert and neither does she want to come back to her family.

She informed that the Girl’s family and relatives had approached SGPC, requesting them to try and convince their daughter to revert to Sikhism and come back home. “The Girl instead did not relent and as such, we can’t force anything on her,” Jagir Kaur said.
