What is Polypropylene?

Polypropylene also known as polypropylene thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications including packaging and labels, textiles (eg., Ropes, thermal underwear and carpets), stationery, plastic parts and reusable types of containers, laboratory equipment, speakers, auto parts, plastic banknotes.

What is the difference between PPR pipe and PE pipe?

1, PPR pipe is made of polypropylene material while PE pipe is made of polyethylene.

2, PPR can be applied to cold and hot water pipe while PE pipe can only be used as a cold water pipe.

3, The maximum size of ppr pipe can be dn160 while PE pipe can be dn1000.

4, PPR is mainly used for water supply pipeline while PE can be applied to drainage pipeline as well as outdoor cold water supply.

5, PPR pipe will develop microbial communities after a long time while will not.

6, PPR pipe performs better in hot temperature while PE in low temperature.

7, the coefficient of thermal conductivity of PPR pipe is only 0.24 PE pipe is 0.42 .

8, PPR pipe are suitable for both open installation and concealed installation while PE can be only applied to concealed installation.

9, The pressure capacity of Ppr pipe pressure is lower than PE.

10. Generally, PPR pipe is a little expensive than PE pipe.
