Located in the Heart of Sharjah, Souk Al Arsah (Courtyard Souk) is one of the oldest market places in the UAE and was the gathering place for traders from the Arabian Gulf and across the Indian Ocean. The souk has recently been renovated and is now a covered market with air-conditioned alleyways featuring solid wooden doors, beautiful coral brick walls and hanging lanterns that symbolise UAE culture. The quaint stores sell everything from pearl chests and copper coffee pots to jewellery, abayas and kandooras, which are important parts of the UAE traditional dress. You can unwind with a cup of karak (tea) or Arabic coffee at the café which is full of UAE memorabilia.
Ubicado en el corazón de Sharjah, Souk Al Arsah (Courtyard Souk) es uno de los mercados más antiguos de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos y era el lugar de reunión de los comerciantes del Golfo Arábigo y del otro lado del Océano Índico. El zoco ha sido renovado recientemente y ahora es un mercado cubierto con callejones con aire acondicionado, puertas de madera ma**za, hermosas paredes de ladrillos de coral y linternas colgantes que simbolizan la cultura de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos.
