want to know what to do if you are suddenly FIRE or laid off from your JOB?

Do this.....
1. Explain to immediate family, that there is no need to panic. That you have a plan.

The plan is:
2. Immediately reduce non-fixed spending by at least 30%.
3. Contact mortgage lenders and inform them. Banks don't like surprised.
4. Update CV/Resume and Linkedln profile.
5. Contact former colleagues an advise them that you are back in the employment market.
6.Reach out to recruiters.
7. Start searching for jobs online.
8. Network online and in person.

Ideally in life we always have a six month financial "cushion" put aside for unforseen circumstances..
In reality, i know how difficult that is to do.

it feels like the worst kind of rejection, but try to think of it as one of life REDIRECTIONS.

And understand that one companys' loss will will soon become anot9 companys' gain.

Today, I’d like to join the rest CAMEROONIAN and the world at large in celebrating our fathers; and to wish all fathers across Cameroon a Happy Father’s Day. We pause to appreciate fathers today because of the critical role they play in sustaining their families and building vibrant communities.

Despite the many foundations upon which we build our lives, we reckon today that family is the most important. And we are called to acknowledge and honor the importance of every father to that foundation.

Fathers are the pillars of many families and contribute greatly to their communities.
They do not only serve as providers for their family; They are also role models to their communities, mentors, teachers and advisors. They work diligently to instill discipline in their Children and inspire them to strive for success.

As we honor our fathers today, I would like to take this moment to acknowledge and applaud all fathers for their role in building stronger families; and shaping our society for the better. I would like to further encourage every father to continue to remain steadfast in providing love, discipline, guidance and mentorship to their Children as we work collectively towards building a vibrant society for all.

Reason why managers fail: inability or inaptitude in retaining top talent.

Many bosses have this attitude that anyone is replaceable easily like gloves, that they can hire someone even better. They are fooling themselves, and do disservice to their company.

When you lose an employee
1. You have to pay a recruiter fee to replace
2. You have to wait for the new person to arrive
3. You have to pay them what you were supposed to pay the one who left, fairly, the market price
4. You have to train the new person
5. The employee who left knew things nobody else does.

A good employee has knowledge of systems , products and processes. They have trust relationships with clients and co-workers that takes years to build. When you lose a good employee, you lose part of your culture. You lose part of your company. And you may lose your own future.
