Renowned Finnish cellist Jussi Makkonen, playing a historic 1757 Henry Jay cello, and pianist Nazig Azezian, began their collaboration in 2013. Graduates of the prestigious Sibelius Academy, they specialize in the works of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, captivating audiences worldwide.

Together, they’ve performed at iconic venues across the United States, Europe, and beyond, receiving the Finlandia Foundation National’s Award of Excellence for their efforts to promote Finnish music globally. Beyond the stage, their platinum-recorded Melody Forest and educational initiatives have introduced classical music to over 500,000 children.
