True story: Dreams take flight!
We are so proud of Captain Bernel Simon!
The St Michael's School and St. Joseph's Academy graduate turned his childhood fascination into a soaring career and yesterday his inspiring story came full circle!
Growing up in Seaview Farm, his parents Bernita and Nelson Simon, always took him to the Observation Deck at our old airport terminal, where he became mesmerized by planes taking off and landing.
Little did his parents know, those casual outings would spark a passion that would take him to new heights.
Yesterday, Captain Simon proudly flew into VC Bird International as the captain of American Airlines flight 2378 from New York's JFK!
We celebrate his achievement and hope his story inspires a new generation of Antiguans and Barbudans to chase their dreams, just like he did. Who knows what simple moments will shape the future of our young ones?
