ANGUILLA TOURIST BOARD ATTENDS FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW (FLIBS) IN CARIBBEAN DESTINATION HUB

The Valley, Anguilla, November 12, 2024: The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) recently participated in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) as part of the Caribbean Destination Hub, alongside representatives from St. Martin, St. Maarten, and St. Barth. This collaborative effort aims to promote the unique offerings and collective appeal of all three islands, fostering deeper connections with international travelers, industry partners, and luxury yachting enthusiasts.

Held from October 30 - November 3, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is one of the largest boat shows in the world, attracting high-net-worth individuals, industry leaders, and travel aficionados. The Caribbean Destination Hub provided a unique platform for the ATB to showcase Anguilla’s pristine beaches, vibrant culture, and high-end accommodations, positioning the island as an ideal destination for upscale travelers seeking exclusive and enriching experiences.

Mrs. Keri Rogers, Destination Experience Manager, and Mrs. Sharon Richardson Lowe, Marketing Officer, represented Anguilla at this year’s event. Together, they engaged with attendees and industry professionals, sharing insights on Anguilla’s tourism offerings, recent developments, and upcoming events, including the highly anticipated Tourism Week 2024. By collaborating with neighboring destinations, the Anguilla Tourist Board strengthened regional ties and highlighted the diversity and accessibility of travel experiences within the Caribbean.

“As part of the Destination Hub at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, we were able to showcase Anguilla as a premier choice for discerning travelers seeking peace, luxury, and authentic Caribbean experiences,” said Mrs. Keri Rogers, Destination Experience Manager at the Anguilla Tourist Board. “Our partnership with St. Martin, St. Maarten, and St. Barth allows us to promote the region collectively, accentuating the shared yet unique qualities of each destination. It’s an exciting opportunity to connect with those who value sustainable tourism, cultural immersion, and unforgettable travel experiences.”

Through their presence at FLIBS, the Anguilla Tourist Board reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable tourism and positioned Anguilla as a destination that offers both luxury and authenticity. Their participation at this important trade show also aligns with the ATB’s strategic objectives of engaging new markets and strengthening relationships with stakeholders across the travel and yachting sectors.

About Anguilla
Tucked away in the northern Caribbean, Anguilla is a shy beauty with a warm smile. A slender length of coral and limestone fringed with green, the island is ringed with 33 beaches, considered by savvy travelers and top travel magazines, to be the most beautiful in the world. Anguilla lies just off the beaten path, so it has retained a charming character and appeal. Yet because it can be conveniently reached from three major gateways: Miami, FL (MIA), Puerto Rico (SJU), and St. Martin (SXM); and by private air, it’s a hop and a skip away.
