You cannot leave Albania without taking home a souvenir of this country, so full of traditions and craftsmanship. Since ancient times, artistic craftsmanship has been an important component of Albanian culture. Traditional woollen clothing, shajaku (pressed wool handicrafts used in different parts of Albania), and elegant cloth garments (used especially for festive events) also show this heritage with their elegant art, whose embroideries of various gold and silver threads are unique. The old market of Kruja is famous for the classical souvenirs that can be found there, such as wool products, carpets, different styles of fez, wooden pipes, antique copper products, filigree, etc.
