The Pyramid of Tirana has won the WAN Awards EMEA in the category Publicly Accessible Buildings! Originally built as a museum dedicated to the communist dictator Enver Hoxha, the Pyramid has been dramatically transformed by MVRDV. Reusing the concrete structure, it is now an open sculpture in a new park.
The park and the sculpture are home to an ensemble of colourful boxes, scattered in and around the original building that now house cafés, studios, workshops, start-up offices, incubators, festivals, and classrooms where Albanian youth will learn various technology subjects for free. Steps have been added to the building’s sloping façades, allowing the people of Albania to literally walk all over the showpiece of the former dictator.

On June 12, 1999, KFOR arrived in 🇽🇰Kosovo, and was greeted by thousands of people along the roads.
NATO's military intervention came after nearly a decade of international diplomatic efforts to stop the wars in the former Yugoslavia. In Kosovo, it was preceded by the Conference of Rambouillet and Paris, where Serbia rejected the compromise to stop the violence of its forces in Kosovo.

📍 Bylis Archaeological Park, or the ancient city of Bylis, is the most worthy of the Illyrian civilization. The Theater of Bylis, built at the beginning of the 3rd century BC with a capacity of 7500 seats, one of the greatest works of the time. Bylisi is located on the right side of the Ballsh-Tepelen road, only 35 km from Fieri, and 1.5 km from the center of Hekal village.

Archaeological Park of Apollonia, after Dyrrah, the most important Illyrian city in the Adriatic basin and the most mentioned among the 30 cities, with the same name in honor of Phoebe Apollo, the herald of the Gods of Olympus. Raised on a hill near Fier, Apolonia owned the entire area and was connected to the Adriatic Sea through the valley of the Vjosë (Aoos) river.
