Happy Independence Day Albania 🇦🇱
The second 28th of November after nearly 5 centuries, Albania declared independence from the same enemy.
Today in 1912 in the town of Vlora, Albanians were united again to free their country from the Turks, from Epirus to Shkup and Dardania, the leading chieftains of the 5 Vilayets flocked to Vlora to raise the most ancient flag in the world, the double headed eagle, and the sons of the Eagles were free again.

On the same day in 1443, Scanderbeg King of Macedonia and Epirus raised the oldest flag in the world with the double headed-eagle Emblem over the fortress of Krujë to save Europe and Christianity from the Ottoman Turks.
The double-headed eagle, symbol of Albania (« The Land of the Eagles » in Albanian ) represents unity, heritage, and ancient Pelasgian roots, reflecting the Albanians’ identity as “Shqiptars” or « children of the eagle » 🦅
