**Vacancy: Tour/Event Manager**

**Feel Armenia** - a leading premium tour operator in Armenia with more than 15 years of experience, is announcing a vacancy for a tour/event manager focused on servicing clients from the Middle East.

**Responsibilities:**
1. **Preparation and implementation of individual and group tourist products** for clients from English and Arabic-speaking countries.
2. **Handling business correspondence and document management** in English and Arabic.
3. **Organization of personalized service:** booking hotels, transport services, restaurants, tickets for events.
4. **Negotiating with local service providers** to ensure the best terms and services.
5. **Monitoring and analyzing the local market** to improve the quality of services offered.
6. **Development and implementation of new services** based on the requirements and interests of clients from the Middle East.
7. **Participation in international exhibitions.**

**Requirements:**
- **Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.**
- **Fluency in English and Arabic; Russian language is a plus.**
- **Strong communication skills.**
- **Understanding of the culture and preferences of clients from the Middle East.**
- **Experience in tourism, hospitality, or the event industry, knowledge of Armenian tourist destinations.**
- **Ability to multitask and manage stressful situations.**

**Conditions:**
- **Work schedule: 5/2.**

The word “carpet” is derived from the initial Armenian word “kap”, which means “knot”. 🔗
Armenian carpets contain ancient symbols, traditions and legends of the people who have woven them for centuries. It is a work of art that can be studied like a painting or a book. Each rug has its own unique pattern, color and shape. The art of carpet weaving of each nation has its own characteristics. In a technological sense, the advantage of our carpets lies in the fact that our masters, since the time when Armenian carpets are known, have used a double knot; in some regions of Iran it is called “Armani baf”, that is, “Armenian knot”. A real Armenian carpet is woven from wool, usually sheep.
Among the forms and styles inherent in Armenian carpets of the Middle Ages, there are: “dragon” carpets - carpets with images of dragons, the tree of life, the phoenix bird, ornaments in the form of triangles, jagged diamonds and symbols of eternity; eagle carpets with symbolic images of eagles, etc.
Armenians have been weaving carpets for more than 2,500 thousand years.✨

The Guardian includes the Armenian Tsaghkunk Restaurant and Glkhatun in its dream menu

Georgia is deservedly popular with holidaymakers looking to pair wine tasting and walking, but neighbouring Armenia also deserves attention, says food and travel writer Caroline Eden, whose latest book, Cold Kitchen, will be published in May. Churches, music, museums, art and trekking (follow a section of the excellent Transcaucasian Trail or find other routes via the Hike Armenia app) are all on offer, she says. So, too, are incredible food and wine.

At the top of Eden’s list of “really atmospheric places to eat” is the tiny village of Tsaghkunk and the restaurant of the same name, which she dreams of going back to. “It’s not easy to say, and not particularly easy to get to, but if you are interested in local flavours, it is a must in Armenia. The chefs are inventive, foraging in surrounding hills for mushrooms and herbs, and here is a traditional bread house attached, with a clay tonir for making Armenia’s moreish lavash flatbread.”

A visit there makes an excellent side trip from Lake Sevan, or it’s an hour’s drive from the capital, Yerevan. However you arrive, make sure you order the savoury ponchik (similar to a doughnut). It’s this speciality that Eden craves from afar. “Filled with mountain herbs and matzoon [yoghurt], they’re crisp on the outside, soft and deeply savoury inside.”
