From February 1, 2024, Armenian citizens will be able to enter, exit and transit through the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without visas. A similar opportunity will be given to Emirati citizens wishing to visit Armenia.

According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the relevant protocol on reciprocal abolition of entry visas for citizens of Armenia and the UAE comes into force on February 1.

At the same time, the validity period of Armenian citizen's passport should be not less than 6 months from the moment of arrival in the UAE.

Armenian citizens will be allowed to stay in the UAE for no more than 90 days within a 180-day period.

«Armenia Airways» запускает рейсы Ереван-Ставрополь
Авиакомпания «Armenia Airways» со 2 декабря 2023 года начнет выполнять прямые рейсы между Ставрополем и Ереваном. Рейсы будут выполняться два раза в неделю, по вторникам и субботам.
Об этом сообщается на сайте авиакомпании. Также компания организовывает для пассажиров данного рейса бесплатные автобусные перевозки из аэропорта Ставрополя в Краснодар.
Продолжительность полета - 1 час. Рейс обслуживает самолет Boeing 737-300 вместимостью 150 пассажирских мест.

On November 6-8, Armenia participated in international tourist exhibition, "WTM London 2023" in London.
The Tourism Committee of Armenia, with representatives from the tourism sector, presented Armenia as an attractive tourism destination, introducing guests to tourism products and services of our country, including delicious Armenian sweets and wine presented in the pavilion.
During the exhibition, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia to UK Varujan Nersesyan visited the official pavilion of Armenia.
📌 Cooperation opportunities were discussed between the sector representatives of the countries.

The Embassy of Armenia in Germany reports that a direct flight from Berlin to Yerevan and vice versa will operate in 2024 at the end of May.

"We are happy to report that the outcome of the discussions is positive. This will enable Armenia to become more visible again to Berlin and the Federal Republic of Germany, and the direct flight will undoubtedly strengthen economic and social ties. From today, flights to 2024 can be booked. For May 31 and later," the message says.

From October 14 to 18, 2023 “Discover Armenia from the sky" international ballooning festival will take place.
More than 20 hot air balloons will participate in the festival from Armenia and abroad։ Brazil, Bulgaria, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia․
The festival will consist of 2 parts: demonstrative and sport.
The demonstration part will include free flights of hot air balloons in the airspace of Yerevan, Garni, and Aparan.
During the sport part, the crew of each balloon must complete the required task, as a result of which winners will be selected.

A study by Outdoor gear specialists Cotswold Outdoor reveals the world’s top capital cities for backpackers to visit this year.
Armenia’s capital Yerevan has been revealed as the top destination for backpackers in 2023, Baku, Bangkok, Hanoi and Seoul complete the top five.
With some of the cheapest average hostel prices ($14 p/ night) and low public transport costs ($0.25 per trip), Armenia’s capital Yerevan ranks first.
The city is the 5th safety capital city and home to a wealth of hostels (278) to choose from.
A basic grocery shop in the Armenian capital also comes at a reasonable cost of $13, for essentials like fruit, rice, eggs, bread, and milk.
As for its choice of free attractions, the city ranks more mid-range offering 105 in total.
With approximately 44 million backpacking trips being taken each year, research estimates the average pend per trip is $4,111 (2017). Analysing 80+ capital cities, a Cotswold Outdoor study reveals the best 2023 destinations for backpackers, looking at the average likely costs (public transport, groceries, and hostels) along with crime rates, mobile internet speeds and the number of couch surf hosts and free attractions available.

France wins Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Armenia is 2nd
The 20th Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex, in Yerevan, Armenia, on Sunday 11 December. It was won by Lissandro from France with 203 points with his song 'Oh Mamam'.
Armenia’s Nare finished in second place with 180 points.
The winner was determined by 50% jury voting and 50% online voting.

В Ереване стартовала новая инициатива в формате Citytour.
Talk city - это новый формат радиопрезентации о Ереване, приправленной интересной информацией и многожанровой музыкой. 10 000 шагов, 100 минут, 10 персонажей и 10 занимательных историй о Ереване от лица реальных и вымышленных персонажей. Требуются лишь наушники, хорошее настроение, готовность к длительным пешим прогулкам и знание русского языка.
Экскурсия начинается с монумента "Мать-Армения" в столичном Парке Победы. 1-й эпизод рассказывает Евгения Мурадян, которая стала прототипом образа "Матери-Армении".
Следующая остановка – комплекс "Каскад", затем Государственная консерватория имени Комитаса, Национальный академический театр оперы и балета, Северный проспект и площадь Республики. Экскурсия заканчивается в парке 2800-летия Еревана.
На протяжении всего маршрута о себе и самом городе "повествуют" памятники, здания и просто жители столицы. Историю Каскада, например, "рассказывают" его же белокаменные ступени. Среди героев аудио-историй известный американский писатель армянского происхождения Уильям Сароян и знаменитый композитор Арам Хачатурян. У здания консерватории к рассказу присоединяется Давид, "студент, опаздывающий на госэкзамен".
Истории Еревана рассказывают 10 героев, говорящих на русском, ведь тур в основном рассчитан на туристов из России. Авторы проекта обещают, что в следующем году будет готова и англоязычная версия.
