✝️✝️✝️ FEAST OF THE GLORIOUS RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST
The Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ or the Easter Feast is one of the five major feasts of the Armenian Church. The Mystery of Easter is the mystery of Jesus Christ, His Salutary Holy Blood shed for mankind and His Rising from the dead for mankind. The Son of God should incarnate, be subjected to tortures, be crucified, buried and the third day raise from death (Ps 15:9-11, 29:4, 40:11-13, 117:16-17, Ho 6:2-3).On the day of the Easter feast people dye eggs red as a symbol of fruitful life, salvation and joy. St. Gregory of Datev considers the egg to be the symbol of the world, the shell of which is the sky, the membrane is the air, the white is the water and the yolk is the earth. Dyeing eggs red symbolizes the salvation of the world by means of Blood of Christ.
The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Easter Feast on the first Sunday following the full moon of the vernal equinox, with 35 days moveability, during the period from March 21 –April 26.
The Armenian Apostolic Church traditionally celebrates evening Divine Liturgy on the evening prior to Jesus Christ’s Glorious Resurrection (Easter). Following the conclusion of the Liturgy, the assembled faithful take lit candles home, symbolizing the Light that Christ brought into the world. The Divine Liturgy celebrated on the eve is the start of the festive ceremonies.

When your Armenian mother-in-law comes towards you wielding a hula hoop-sized flatbread, don't duck: Lavash is draped over the country's newlyweds to ensure a life of abundance and prosperity.
Maybe that's because making lavash takes friends.
To shape the traditional breads, groups of women gather to roll and stretch dough across a cushion padded with hay or wool. It takes a practiced hand to slap the enormous sheets onto the inside of conical clay ovens, where they bake quickly in the intense heat.
The bread is so central to Armenia's culture it's been designated UNESCO Intangible Heritage.

✅ Tolma (Dolma)- This dish is often made from meat, but you can also find a vegetarian option as well. Minced meat mixed with rice and a variety of herbs and spices is wrapped in fresh grape leaves.

✅ Khashlama-To make it, the ingredients, such as lamb, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and seasoning is stacked in a big pan in a specific order and cooked. The result is this heavenly flavor and a hearty meal Armenians like to enjoy any time of the day.

✅ Khorovats and Kebab. This is barbecue (whole pieces) meat and ground seasoned meat. The dish can be made either with lamb or pork.

✅ Khash-It is made from cow legs and head boiled in plain water for hours on end and served with dried lavash (Armenian flatbread), garlic and plenty of vodka. Now you can go to bed. See you in the evening.

✅ Harissa -This is a very popular Armenian traditional porridge made from chicken and cracked dry wheat. During Musa Ler siege this delicious but simple dish kept the people alive for months on end.

✅ Ghapama - Ghapama is a stuffed pumpkin dish.The guts of the pumpkin are removed, and then it is stuffed with boiled rice and dried fruits like apple, apricot, dates, plums, and raisins together with nuts. The pumpkin is baked until it softens.
